The Democrats have been rather loud about this “secret” plan...

I’m surprised they’re bothering with an impeachment and not doing a straight up coup.

Releasing evidence and doing something about it are two different things. Republicans expose all manner of unlawful Democrat schemes but never follow up with prosecutions. Not surprisingly, without consequences nothing ever changes.

It’s no secret, it’s a guarantee. If the Dems take the House this fall, Trump will be impeached they day they are sworn in. If, God forbid, Dems take the Senate, Trump will be convicted and removed.

The corrupt voter roles is a very badly kept secret, only now we’ve got details.

“Republicans expose all manner of unlawful Democrat schemes but never follow up with prosecutions.”

Paging Pam Bondi!

Actually, it’s not all her fault. Part of the problem is Republicans are cowards. When Dems have power, the press the advantage beyond the limits of the law.

There are 22 Republican seats being contested in the U.S. Senate this year. The Democrats would only get the 67 votes necessary to convict the President if they win every one of them.

Anyone who thinks that's likely to happen ... isn't thinking at all.

LOL. There is a very public plan to impeach everyone in the administration and then prosecute them.

We could have honest elections. I just don't think either party really wants that.

You are certainly correct about a Democrat House impeaching Trump. A simple majority vote is all that’s needed.

But it takes a 2/3 majority vote to convict in the Senate. That would take more than a few GOP votes. I can’t see that happening.

And yet Trump and his administration act like there is no election coming up. We keep losing GOP seats and they’re like, “Let’s blow up!” WTF?

Doesn’t it take 2/3 of the Senate to convict??

“Anyone who thinks that’s likely to happen ... isn’t thinking at all.”

It won’t happen, you’re right. But losing the House is a real possibility. That would put serious roadblocks for the Trump agenda.

If what you say came to pass we would have a shooting revolution. Guaranteed. You want to see secession from the union? Remove Trump from office. Or rather try to.

It’s not the machines. and the voter roles are secondary. If you establish and enforce controls at each processing point, like your cashier at the grocery store or any cash processing place, you can have auditable and enforceable accounting with huge penalties for non compliance. It’s simple and will be resisted because it solves the problem no matter what method is used to count the votes. change the method and then when they count the paper mail in ballots twice again you will see.

Republican officials have no real interest in accountability. And why should they? Unfortunately their voters don’t seem to either because if they did they would be demanding action/results from the people they vote for.

It appears that Republican office holders have calculated that they can get votes without doing anything to earn them.

“It appears that Republican office holders have calculated that they can get votes without doing anything to earn them.”

They are totally correct. The only place a sitting politician has any real worry is primaries. The machine takes care of funding for incumbents, so it’s not a huge threat.

This is the product of the media and political class turning politics into a red/blue team sport. Many, myself included, would never vote for the other team because they fall in lockstep with their leadership. It’s not as pronounced for the red team, but it happens there too.
