Poll: 100% of MAGA Republicans support Trump

While standing in front of a screen with the phrase, “A break in MAGA?” Enten remarked, “Sometimes you look at the polling data, and there are numbers that just jump off the screen.”

“MAGA GOP … approve 100%. 100%. If you are a member of MAGA in the GOP, you approve of Donald John Trump,” he said. “0% say that they disapprove.”

“You don’t have to be a mathematical genius to know you can’t go higher that 100%. He is the 1972 Miami Dolphins,” he added, referencing the only NFL team to have a perfect season.

Despite the mainstreams constant search for Presidential weak spots, Harry Enten notes "that the President’s base within the GOP is “not shrinking.” Instead, it was “slightly larger” than it was in 2024, while he was on the campaign trail.

Is this the Bee? When has any sort of legitimate poll result about anything been 100%? You could poll 1,500 people on whether the year is really 2026, and 1% or 2% might answer “no” or “not sure.”

“Is this the Bee?”

Might as well bee.

MAGA means absolutely nothing beyond what Trump says it means - today.

By definition, MAGA Republicans are people who like the guy who owns the evolving definition of MAGA.

Nobody in their right mind would identify as MAGA who didn’t support President Trump - so 100% is not a bit surprising.

It’s like saying 100% of meat lovers love meat.

I disagree. I think there’s very likely some non-zero number of people who would self-identify as “MAGA” and yet say they disapprove. Show me a political poll from some legit polling organization (Gallup, Pew, WSJ, Marist, Reader’s Digest, whatever) where they got 100% of a sample to agree on anything. I’m a middle-aged person. I can’t recall ever seeing an opinion poll on which an answer to a question exceeded ~98-99%.

I agree with 2024 Trump and 2025 Trump. Does that make me a traitor?

75% of MAGA Republicans have gone Independent. So, they are only polling 25% of the original MAGA. Just my observation.

You are probably confused concerning the basis for the poll.

This poll focuses on putting the question of "Support" to individuals who have each identified as MAGA supporters.

Since the poll is limited to President Trump-supporting individuals who proudly embrace this Administration and its policies, the 100% support result is completely logical--and expected.

Your 75% claim seems to have been drawn from your nether regions.

Do you have a legitimate source for that figure?

I’m not confused about anything. Show me some other polls with appropriates sample-sizes and polling methods for which a political question received 100% unanimity.

Your request for another poll of 100% MAGA voters simply underscores the liklihood of a 100% score.

I didn’t ask for “another poll of 100% MAGA voters.” I asked for any other reasonably scientific polls on any political topics for which unanimity of responses was obtained.

Your point is well taken if the poll sample were based on party denominations, or traditional political or demographic groupings - but MAGA is different - calling yourself MAGA is literally another way of calling yourself a Trump supporter.

Let’s try the converse: If you polled 100 people who self-identified as having TDS, do you think one or two outliers would say they support Trump?

Probably yes, though 100 is a very small, possibly insufficiently scientific sample. If it were 1500, I could imagine 30 or 40 not even understanding what “derangement syndrome” means and agreeing that they have it while loving Trump.

The singularity of Harry Entens comment that "If you are a member of MAGA in the GOP, you approve of Donald John Trump,” he [Entens} said. "0% say that they disapprove” is striking, indeed.

No other poll can be discovered that demonstates this level of political love and loyalty.

In other news ...

100% of AOC supporters support AOC.

100% of coffee lovers love coffee.

100% of undecided voters are undecided.

Whatever this is, it is an artifact of the polling itself.

I saw a pre-election poll that had Harris at 100% in some dimension that measured African-American support. When I dug into the sampling data, I noticed that they called out the sample weightings to "correct" the actual sampled population to standardized population percentages.

In that poll, they sampled about 500 people and the particular slice ended up with only six respondents. When it was scaled up by the weighting, the 100% of the sample scaled up to an overweighted result in the large crosstab analysis.

I suspect that the same thing happened here: the sample slice was small enough that it was 100% in alignment. It's still a data point that suggests the actual number might be 80%, or 85%, but when the sample size is small it's not unreasonable to get a sample population that is 100% in that dimension. It's still directionally indicative, but the 100% number is an artifact of the polling.
