Chief Justice Roberts says personal hostility toward judges has 'got to stop'

hief Justice John Roberts urged Americans on Tuesday to stop personal attacks on judges, claiming such attacks were “dangerous” and a “problem.”

The warning comes after the Supreme Court justice warned elected officials last year not to attack judges because the rhetoric could lead to actual violence against members of the judiciary.

“Judges around the country work very hard to get it right, and if they don’t, their opinions are subject to criticism,” Roberts said at an event at Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy. “But personally directed hostility is dangerous, and it’s got to stop."

He is so (bought) out of touch! The judges need to stay in their lane! Their over reach and political agendas are what put them in the cross hairs.

I will reduce my criticism of judges when the courts behave as they should. This starts with every appellate court immediately slapping down lower courts that issue rulings for which they have no jurisdiction.

PERSONAL HOSTILITY ON THE PART OF “JUDGES” VS THE AMERICAN CITIZENS IS THE CAUSE, MR ROBERTS.

PUT THE BLAME WHERE IT BELONGS, SIR.

Oh my! I put it in the search engine first too. If the titles aren’t exact it says it’s not posted yet. My apologies. Any way to tweak the search engine?

I would rather an AI be the supreme court and simply interpret the written constitution. No human input needed.

Even worse, Judge Roberts is out of touch with the constitution he swore to defend and protect. He should re-read the first amendment for starters. Judges are public officials and public servants who are NOT above reproach and outside criticism.

When the Supreme Court Justices no longer become political activists but become defenders of The Constitution as written I will no longer criticizer the court. All those justices are wise men and women and know the constitution well. When they differ it is mostly because of self political beliefs. At that point they become political activists and a danger to our very simple constitution. It means what it says in it.

Oddly the Constitution is written in the language of the common man. The reason is for it to be understood by all and not a bunch of lawyers. It means what it says.

Right.

My hostility is just getting started (since 1967 due to an unfortunate incident against me in the court system which I will not discuss here.).

I will NEVER forgive.

The anti-Trump judges around the country have venomous saliva dripping from their mouths. They look for anything to use against him and his mission. These judges are undermining our Republic.

Google:Donald Trump has faced thousands of legal cases over several decades, with over 4,000 cases involving him and his businesses between 1973 and 2016. During his first term, his administration faced hundreds of lawsuits (over 200–600 depending on the tracker), with new legal challenges continuing into 2025 and 2026.

A website about Lawfare....
https://www.lawfaremedia.org/projects-series/trials-of-the-trump-administration/tracking-trump-administration-litigation
(Pre-2016): An analysis found Trump was involved in over 4,000 cases, with at least 4,095 as a defendant.

This smirking chimp does not govern his communist judges. Many who were not even born here. This is one of his jobs as Chief Justice. This puke lifts his finger to the winds before important decisions.

BTW when is the gutless wonder going to screw us on effin anchor babies. In the upcoming decision.

Some of their opinions create such antagonism ... very predictably...they bring it on themselves

I understand that not every opinion can be popular
but dammit they sure could start following the constitution a lot better

Remember back in May 2022 when he spoke out with VERY STRONG criticism of the democrat protestors who surrounded the homes of Supreme Court Justices and made threats against them when the draft of the upcoming decision on Roe v. Wade was leaked?

Me neither . because it didn’t happen.
