The NYPD is enhancing security at houses of worship on Staten Island following a string of recent disturbances at Catholic churches.
That includes an incident that happened at St. Ann's Church in Dongan Hills last week where a man stormed the altar, disrupted the sermon and got into a fight with two officers who tried to stop him.
Matthew Caffrey, 28, is charged with assaulting an officer and resisting arrest.
That incident last Friday morning is the latest in a string of crimes at Catholic churches across Staten Island.

The DA is already looking for “alternatives to incarceration” for these anti Catholic, relgion hating leftist criminals. The DA states that it must include a promise never to repeat such a criminal act against these institutions.When the Mafia had a significant presence on Staten Island there would have been a definite alternative to incarceration for these leftist lowlifes and there would have been no chance whatsoever that they would do it again.

Maybe I was taught an oversimplification in my grammar school history.
But I was taught that religious freedom was what brought settlers to this new world and freedom to religion was a pillar of Our Republic.
How ironic that approaching our 250th birthday religious freedom has never been attacked so widely and routinely that is if you are not a follower of “The religion of peace” which has NEVER been freer from attack.
In response for the church security issues I naturally assumed the NYPD would deploy additional security to local mosques.
I sit at the front, at the end of the pew so that I can respond if some possessed nut charges the alter and/or my Priest.
I hope there’s other men to assist rather than the soft “men” that are around.
I would ask if you are a man or a woman but I assume you’re an “it” that was abused as a younger it.
The folks that touched you can’t hurt you any longer and I pray for your recovery.
The leftists hate Jews and Christians because of the Judeo-Christian emphasis on moral values, teaching/preaching/seeking to lead a righteous ethical life.
Moral values get in the way of the kind of life and society the communists/nazis/progressives want
Nobody molested me—and I am not even a Catholic.
However—the church’s history of covering up child abuse disgusts me—and it would disgust me no matter what institution it was.
They’re moving from the Saturday people to the Sunday people.
Small but important point:
They are not child molester priests. They are predatory homosexual priests.
