In 1958, Mao Zedong launched his Great Leap Forward, a massive push to transform China from an agricultural society to an industrial one, aiming to compete with the West. Mao's goal was to surpass British industrial output within 15 years, and that political goal took priority over even human lives.
Poor Chinese were moved into collectives that stripped them of private land, livestock, and tools. Farmers were forced into work building primitive steel furnaces while crops and livestock were neglected, and the government seized excess grain for export or urban stores. Less than a year after the Great Leap Forward began, China entered a two year period of famine, known as the Great Chinese Famine, that killed anywhere from 15 to 55 million people from starvation, malnutrition, illness, and violence.
In Cuba, Castro's revolution saw a collapse of Cuban society and the deaths of tens of thousands. Now, Cubans rely on the government for monthly food rations that provide just 7 pounds of rice, 1 pound of beans, ½ bottle of cooking oil, 1 daily bread roll (recently cut), small amounts of chicken, eggs, milk (prioritized for children), sugar, coffee, and soap/toiletries. It's estimated that these foodstuffs only provide 30 to 60 percent of a person's daily caloric needs.
In Russia, the communists took over in 1917 after deposing and later executing Tzar Nicholas II and his family. From 1917 to 1922, the Russian Civil War and subsequent Red Terror killed at least seven million people (some estimates are as high as 12 million). In 1921, the communists stole grain from rural farmers to feed the cities and the Volga Famine became the deadliest in European history at the time, killing at least five million. In the 1930s, Russia saw another famine that killed an additional three to five million...

Mamdani is going to wreck NYC and that’s his mission.
This is simply another step in their destruction of the United States.
Mayor Ahmed Cloward-Piven.
That’s right. They’re bleeding us to death in every possible way 24/7/365.
How much power does he actually have?
Bill O’Reilly’s “Confronting Evil” missed putting Pol Pot in the “pot”....It should be required reading for every citizen...how that could be accomplished without our country becoming evil is beyond me but definitely good lessons to learn about EVIL. First people have to be willing to LEARN...those voters in NY aren’t willing!!
Come on people. Grow a backbone. This is some dweeby little pampered socialist who can’t even bench 100lbs. The land only belongs to those who can keep it. You gonna fight or cry?
Or Bitter Harvest
Mayors of New York especially foreign born have limited options. The media with fawn all over him but really he is stuck in the Big Apple.
Our local university has a music professor who somehow escaped Mao’s Great Leap.
He said he and other students at the music conservatory were settled on rice farms.
The farmers were resettled in the conservatory.
The musicians and the farmers had no clue how to do the others job.
Many starved.
Maybe the Saudis can finance he’s destruction of NYC , remember they tried it a few times already
Mamdani is perfecting propaganda using Wrath to motivate the dumb masses. The reality that he cannot fulfill his agenda due to his limitations of his office will be easily clouded by laying blame on Trump. This only escalates in time.
Will they NYC Council help him or slow him down ? LOL
Adios, New York City 🏙️🏙️🏙️
Actually, when you think about it, who cares what that communist does to New York. The reason I say that is all the financial stuff is moving to Texas, they have their own stock exchange and they’ll be more, and so I say let everybody leave and let the UN stay there. Win win.

I visited China some years ago. My host was a businessman who owned a number of factories.
One was in a building that was built during the cultural revolution. He had rented the second floor for a factory that made chip credit cards.
He went up the stairs normally. I took two or three steps, and fell down.
When I looked at the steps, it was obvious each riser was at a different height interval, even though they were made of poured concrete, part of the building’s basic structure. I had to go up and down the stairs watching each step.
When I pointed this out to him, he explained that, at the time the building was made, all the architects had been sent to the farms to work in the fields, and farmers had been brought to the cities to work as architects and engineers.
That was Mao’s vision, and you went with his vision or you were dead.
NYC mayors are extremely powerful.
When he was mayor, Mike Bloomberg proposed an amendment to article 81 of the New York City Health Code, that would have required "food service establishments" (FSEs) to cap at 16 ounces (475 mL) the size of cups of sugary drinks.
Doesn't get much more powerful than that. 🤡
I'm confident that Trump can handle that, as can Vance.
I live in NY, outside NYC. None of Bloomberg's laws affected me in any way at all.
