One of the four bodies handed over to Israel by Hamas does not belong to an Israeli hostage but to a Gazan, a security official said following identification attempts at the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute.
According to another security source, the fourth body is that of a Gazan wearing an IDF uniform.
According to the first source, 21 deceased hostages remain in Hamas captivity, and additional bodies are expected to be transferred to Israel on Wednesday.
"Following the completion of examinations at the National Institute of Forensic Medicine, the fourth body handed over to Israel by Hamas does not match any of the hostages," the IDF confirmed.
"Hamas is required to make all necessary efforts to return the deceased hostages."

I am sorry to say that I had this thought the moment it was agreed that the remains would be returned. I wondered how many they would try to ‘substitute’. I do not enjoy being this jaded, just expected the savages to be ignorant of DNA testing. Prayers for the deceased and their loved ones.

I don’t know how much experience you all have with two year old dead bodies removed from rubble - but there’s not a lot to return and who is who is probably unknowable.
It was in an IDF uniform. A deliberate act of deception.
That is quite a jump to make assuming that they died because of Israeli bombing etc.
Even so, not hard with today’s forensics to note bones fractured by sharp edges, flesh cut in ways demonstrating torture, body parts abused in ways consistent with torture etc.
You can stop with your weak apologetics for Hamas as it is actually quite uninformed.
Oh and one more thing, I guess you never heard of DNA, the idea that they can’t know who is who is beyond ignorant.
Isreal gets some of their old clothes for trace DNA, test it against the body, viola, identified.
Putting the body in an IDF uniform was intentional deception. If Hamams was being honest they could have said here are the remains in question, we are unsure of who may be who but they did not do that.
I’m against the peace plan myself. I think Israel needs to vaporize the entire fake Palestinian shxthole down to a fine sand and make all of Gaza and Israeli beach front resort.
Hamas, Hezbollah etc will be back at it before long.
This much celebrated peace deal is a giant con job that will soon be seen for scam it is.

I am for the plan, always prefer peace, when possible. I just don’t think it is possible with those people at this time.
I am completely and totally in favor of the total obliteration of Hamas.
However, the desire to retrieve the bodies of dead hostages is presumptive. The error in thinking is that Hamas actually knows where the hostage bodies are to be found.
If you look at photos of all the endless rubble that is Gaza, how can bodies there be retrieved?
Further, it is very possible, even probable, that the Hamas individual/S who actually know where the bodies rest is dead.
The news about return of the bodies and the count of those returned or not returned is news fodder
I’m willing to bet at least some of the bodies they refuse to turn over were women they murdered so they couldn’t tell about the atrocities they suffered.
