Speaker Mike Johnson Reveals Democrats Plan to Keep Government Closed Until AFTER “No Kings” Protest in DC – “I Have Had it With These People… They Can’t Face Their Rabid Base” (VIDEO)

House Speaker Mike Johnson revealed on Fox News this morning that the Democrats will likely keep the government shut down for more than another week until after a scheduled “No Kings” protest against the Trump Administration on October 18.

The shutdown is entering its tenth day on Friday as Democrats continue to vote against reopening. They are demanding taxpayer-funded healthcare for illegals, continued funding for leftwing PBS propaganda, and $1.5 trillion in additional spending.

The No Kings group is planning its demonstration on the National Mall in DC, and "Some of the House Democrats are selling T-shirts for the event," Johnson said.

"It's being told to us that they won't be able to reopen the government until after that rally because they can't face their rabid base."

This comes after Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer callously boasted that the shutdown is good for the Democrats, and "every day gets better for us." Meanwhile, many Americans will miss a paycheck because of the Democrats' attempts to appease their radical base and fight for illegal aliens.

Johnson was asked to respond to Schumer's comments on Friday morning, and he told the Fox and Friends panel the real reason why this is good for the Democrats.

"I have had it with these people. They're playing games with real people's lives," Johnson said.

WATCH:

Earhardt: So how do you react when you hear Chuck Schumer saying, every day gets better for us? What about the people who aren't getting paid? What about the women who are here While their husbands are deployed? What about people who are trying to go on vacation or go away for the holiday weekend, and their flights are delayed or canceled? How is that better for everybody?

Johnson: Real harm to real people, and we're hearing it from our constituents. The House Republicans right now are in their districts, working, trying to help people through this crisis that's being created by the Democrats. I mean, it's health services, it's nutrition services for young mothers and infant children. It's, you know, all manner of services that are provided. FEMA, they can't write flood insurance policies in the middle of a hurricane season because of this nonsense, and we're so angry about it.

You know, I'm a very patient guy, but I have had it with these people. They're playing games with real people's lives. The theory we have right now, they have a hate America rally that's scheduled for October 18 on the National Mall. It's all the pro-Hamas wing and the, you know, the Antifa people. They're all coming out. Some of the House Democrats are selling T-shirts for the event, and it's being told to us that they won't be able to reopen the government until after that rally because they can't face their rabid base. I mean, this is, this is serious business hurting real people. And I just, I'm beyond words. I can't believe they're actually doing this.

Mike Johsnon further said in a press release that Congressional Democrats are catering to the radical left groups organizing the October 18 protest after they "spent weeks pressuring Democrats to shut the government down."

"Axios reports that Schumer and his team even established a private “shutdown war room” with progressive activists, unions, and operatives — including MoveOn and the Progressive Change Campaign Committee — to coordinate messaging and strategy. The effort began weeks before the shutdown, with Schumer’s office sharing talking points and campaign-style materials to rally the Far-Left," according to the release.

Isn’t DC a federal zone now, so guessing the tactics will be slightly different than a local police chief empathetic to their cause?

Oh, Sunsong, of ”may it be so” zeepery. One of Mumsie’s most obsequious followers.

Sunsong always seems to take the Democrat stance on things.

It figures she’d blame the shutdown on our side, just like Chuckie Schumer. The epitome of a leftist troll.

This is Trump’s shutdown. He can end it any time he wants to.

Interesting - what bill made it to his desk that he refused to sign / vetoed? None, of course...and I'm sure you know that.

The Democrats have filibustered the continuing resolution. It has not made it out of Congress because of the Democrats. The Republicans are not who blocked the continuing resolution. You know that too, I'm sure.

So what is the purpose of these obviously nonsensical comments you continue to make?

Why yes. All he has to do is cave in to demands for things like $1.2 trillion for illegal alien healthcare. It’s simple! 🙄

Your DU allegiance is showing again, SS.

Just do what Reagan did. Put the military controllers in.

I'm all for that, oh aerial assault mammal, so long as they don't use those 'transitioners'.
"So sorry about that runway carnage. I was having my MANstrual period and overcome with mental anguish at the time".

The concept of Public Servants died when government employees were allowed to unionize. Unionize against what - the will of the people? I hope President Trump and his successors have plans to eliminate or at least emasculate them.

The GOP holds all the cards: House, Senate and Supreme Court.

This is Trumps’s shut down.

He can re-open the government anytime he wants to.

Tell yourself the truth...

How is this on Trump and the GOP?

For not caving in to the loony dems’ demands for healthcare coverage for illegal immigrants?

The GOP absolutely controls the Federal government right now.

Everyone knows that. They can pass or not pass anything they want to.

This is Trump’s shutdown. I’m sorry.

The comments he/she is making are word for word identical to the Dem talking points circulating on social media. And obviously, not a grain of truth to them.

“Not with the 60 vote cloture rule fool.”

Not to defend Samsung, because she probably didn’t think of it, but the 60 vote rule can be overturned by 51 votes (a simple Senate majority). Shumer has PROMISED to do just that, should he ever get power again (and he did try in 2021, but was stopped by 2 Democrats, who are no longer in office). The Republicans might as well do it, since the days of ‘comity’ have ended and we’re now in the days of shooting.

So, it is NOT Trump’s fault, but the Senate could deal with this immediately...if they have the votes, if...

IF they want to keep the government open. It’s Trump’s choice to make. He’s making it, imo.
