Scientists in Serbia have found a link between psychopathy and the belief that animals aren't as worthy as humans.
People who show signs of psychopathy – such as being impulsive, lying compulsively albeit and having a 'superficial charm' – may be more likely to humiliate or even hurt animals as a result.
Their experiments also suggest animal haters are 'sadists', meaning they derive pleasure from inflicting pain, suffering or humiliation.
The experts report that 'dark minds do not like animals'.
Each of the four Dark Tetrad traits – narcissism, Machiavellianism, psychopathy and sadism – are made up of particular undesirable attributes.
Prior research has linked Dark Tetrad traits to various behaviours including the tendency to believe in conspiracy theories.
Investors in cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin are more likely to be psychopaths, another study from last year claims.
Meanwhile, men with a high sex drive or 'libido' are more likely to be a narcissist, found experts at the University of British Columbia.
And researchers from the University of Turin found that being single was associated with higher levels of psychopathic traits.

I like animals. Except for pit bulls and snakes.
It’s humans I have less regard for.
GMTA
yeah, but they love goats, so there’s that
Truth has often has little value in propaganda.
WHO/WEF/UN Anti-meat propaganda.
Antagonistic to traditional life styles and religious communities who are given “dominion”. Both need to be destroyed before they succeed.
Suck it up and learn to love it.
It probably thinks you don’t understand much either.
Obviously the scientists in Serbia haven’t met American purple haired cat ladies.
There have been times when I adore certain qualities of animals, but never have I thought they were on par with, equal or exceeding the intrinsic value to human beings. Some folks get caught up in romanticizing or anthropologizing animals. Aka, giving them human traits of morality and inner motivations. It can appear to be very close to human, but it’s not the same thing.
There’s also the inverse psychopath: the person who is immersed in animal rights while coldly indifferent to humans.
Animals don’t have to be ‘the same’ as humans to inspire loving, caring and other valuable traits in human beings.
The outcome in understanding of ethical and spiritual values is what matters.
I think every kid should grow up with a pet for which they have responsibility.
“There is room at the table for all of God’s creatures.
Right next to mashed potatoes.”

I LOVE animals! Especially the ones made out of beef.
Your 3rd statement, I totally agree with, if the child has any interest or curiosity in animals. So do, some don’t.
I definitely did, starting with “Escape” Turtles from Montgomery Ward store.
>> just remember, Hitler liked dogs.
Hitler was a vegan, too!
Danged if I’m gonna make either of those two misteaks! The lefties already think I’m almost literally Hitler.
Dogs don’t get to choose their owners.
Dog Poo Treats..or put a
little flag in it
No, but Blondi liked Hitler. One could not guess his darkness from Blondi or his other dogs.
I don’t like dogs and wretched when weak minded people call them fur babies and brag about their“rescue” and their fake “service” dog.
Of course I also gave my neighbor a toy for his new puppy.
That makes me a guy who doesn’t like dogs, that doesn’t make me a psychopath.
When I was a kid, my aunt gave us a cat. My brother and I immediately loved it.
My father, who didn’t much like his sister, seemed averse to the cat from the beginning.
The first night we had the cat, Daddy got drunk and kept saying, ‘I don’t want a cat! I’m going to flush this cat down the toilet!’
We were all in bed trying to stifle giggles; and about an hour later, we heard our father saying, ‘Here kitty! Let me pet your little pumpkin head.”
That cat lived to be 20 years old; and from that night on, my father cared more that the cat was inside at night than that we kids were.
That cat inspired my lifelong love for animals and Nature in general, a lot of my career, and a great deal of my apprehension of ethical and responsible behavior.
And that story is one of my favorite memories of my beloved Father.
