Without Adams, Should Mamdani Be Worried?

Eric Adams, as was becoming apparent for many months, will be a one-term mayor.

Adams, who announced he was dropping his reelection bid on Sunday, has long been politically doomed. Multiple corruption scandals have embroiled his administration, and he and his closest aides were indicted. Even before the indictments arrived, he was bleeding out support. Adams was not a mayor devoid of accomplishments, but he had fewer of them than his predecessors and rarely seemed to be engaged with the mechanics of governing. New Yorkers wearied of his act and it became clear, more than a year ago, he had no serious path to a second term. The last incumbent mayor to fail to win another term, David Dinkins in 1993, at least went down fighting in a narrow loss to Rudy Giuliani. Adams will slink out of Gracie Mansion with barely a whimper.

The last question hanging over the general election is if all the Adams supporters will defect to Andrew Cuomo and if this will be enough for the former governor, who resigned in disgrace four years ago, to save his campaign. Adams was polling in the single digits, fourth behind Curtis Sliwa, the Republican candidate. (It’s too late for Adams’s name to be struck from the ballot.) The mayor’s base of outer borough Black and Latino Democrats, as well as Orthodox Jews, are, in theory, Cuomo’s for the taking.

What complicates Cuomo’s path are his own significant weaknesses as a candidate. He is a lackluster campaigner with a thin field operation. The scandals of his administration—nursing home deaths in the pandemic, sexual harassment allegations that drove him from office—are well-remembered. In the primary, he was able to benefit from enormous super PAC spending and the backing of many politicians and labor unions, only to finish a...

Without Adams, Should Mamdani Be Worried?

Mamdani has nothing to worry about.

But, residents of NYC do, and so does the democratic party.

NYC: going, going.... gone!

Democratic party: going, going... good riddance!

Will we see this in 15-20 years?

Or will all of us suckers be on the hook for a trillion dollar bailout?

NYC is a lost cause and it has become ungovernable

Mandami is going likely to win and there is absolutely nothing that can be done

Will we see this in 15-20 years?

It will take just one year to see that during Trump's term.

Or will all of us suckers be on the hook for a trillion dollar bailout?

Not under Trump. Not even a billion dollar bailout.

Democrats can set up a 'fund me' page for NYC, or Mamdani can ask Iran for help.

“A 12-point drop in the DOW is front page headlines.”

That made me laugh, too!

The debate can be a game changer. It was for Trump. I want to hear Mandami public state on the airwaves that he’s for legalized prostitution.

He should be relieved. If if Cuomo had dropped out, he’d be in more danger. He already walloped Cuomo once. And Adams has already won citywide election. And he’s better positioned to get votes on the right.

What bothers me most is this young man Mamdani is a pure reflection of his parents ideological indoctrination from childhood.
He is a undeveloped character, showing no talent except for college style antics at rapping.

His first real job as a Assemblyman for NYS and how he got THAT job remains unknown to me
His time spent there is reported lackluster.

He has no REAL WORLD experience, he has no administrative experience. He has run nothing at all, other than himself beside being propelled into the limelight by his ideologically skewed parents who want to overthrow Western democracy.

He has ties to Hamas, he is antisemitic.
These are a few traits one does not want in a Mayor of NYC.
He brings destruction of the current social order.

What he does not understand is he may BELIEVE he can bring “ change” but his thinking is so purely simplistic as in vote for me everything will be ok!

Life, society and politics does not work this way even in the best of times.

Ive sern those videos from the past of him espousing his beliefs.

I have no sympathy for him. He is a babe in the woids and the hysterical thing to me is hearing him on his jag ...he is LAUGHABLE.

He is so wet behind the ears its not funny esp when you compare him to say, Bernie. He’s a puppy with a bone.

What a main concern should be and looked at in depth is the funding behind him, his islamo-marxism,cult groups like antifa, & protest funding from very dubious sources ( schwartz, georgy )

My other thought on this Mamdani person is his entrance into this race as a complete unknwon is most likely a testing of the waters for future islamo characters in this sorry sad ass charade.

During covid I watched Cuomo everyday as its the nearest channel here where I am. He dominated it.
It was awful but what really broke me, broke my heart was when he put live covid patients in nursing homes and he said regarding the residents..and I quote “ well, they are going to die anyway”) ...so whats the big deal?

What were Di Blasio’s accomplishments?
