Google Admits Political Censorship on YouTube, Promises to Embrace Free Speech
Breitbart ^ | September 23, 2025 | Sean Moran

Google on Tuesday promised to restore YouTube accounts that have been banned for political speech, admitting that the Biden administration pressured it to censor Americans that did not violate the company’s terms of service, in a letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH).

“Reflecting the Company’s commitment to free expression, YouTube will provide an opportunity for all creators to rejoin the platform if the company terminated their channels for repeated violations of COVID-19 and elections integrity policies that are no longer in effect,” a lawyer representing Google wrote to Jordan.

The letter would likely affect pro-Trump political commentators such as White House counterterrorism chief Sebastian Gorka, War Room host Steve Bannon, and FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino, whom were banned over speech relating to the coronavirus pandemic or election-related content.

YouTube had banned Bongino, who moved to alternative video streaming platform Rumble, over alleging spreading misinformation about masks during the coronavirus pandemic.

Google’s video platform said it “values conservative voices on its platform” and admitted that the creators “have extensive reach and play an important role in civic discourse.”

Google then admitted that the Biden administration pressured the big tech company to remove alleged misinformation relating to the pandemic.

“According to Alphabet (Google)’s latest financial reports the company has $95.14 Billion USD in cash and cash equivalents.”

Time for conservatives to hire lawyers.

Yeah. Google needs US government friends to hold at bay government ticks in Europe who want to fine away all their profits and suck them dry to solve all their money woes.

Free speech isn’t taking money from other countries or other entities like political parties to promote them, Google.

Google is not trustworthy.

Google practices censorship on a lot more than just censoring specific people.

Immigration, taxes, regulation, abortion...on topic after topic google search returns 80% leftist results..15% centrist results, under 5% conservative results. For example, google will return a wikipedia result. Look at that wiki answer. It is leftists. Often google returns many pages of results. One has go thru page after page before one finds a conservative result.

google AI is a special case. It is often wrong on the facts of geography and other facts not subjective opinion. This inaccuracy makes the AI leftist lean a minor factor.

Gee, I wonder if this has something to do with all the Dems screaming about being censored because they murdered Charlie?

I notice a new spirit of tolerance in myself today. Maybe it’s Charlie Kirk Memorial forgiveness.

In any case, I’ve pretty much given up the urge to “get even” with Corporate Media. Let’em do their thing... Rise or fall. I don’t care. They look like their reign over the information world is pretty much over.

I think I’ll start getting upset over something else for a change.

It is not just the censorship and banning accounts (or restoring them).

It is also about the alogrhythms that promote or hide videos.

If an account is blacklisted you simply don’t find it in the search results. Similarly, all platforms choose to promote certain accounts which are likely to get more views and therefore higher ad revenues.

Google and all the others need redo their algorhythms so that no political viewpoint is favored. Let the marketplace of ideas decide instead of promoting libtard accounts and blacklisting conservative ones.

Too little too late. Stopped using Google years ago. Use Duck Duck Go instead and am fine with it.
