Last week, the House of Representatives voted on a resolution to censure Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) over her disgusting comments about Charlie Kirk.
The effort failed, in the words of my colleague Rusty Weiss, because four feckless Republicans went along with a Democratic effort to table the resolution.
Omar called Kirk "hateful" and said that the Americans who called him "civil" were "full of sh**." She also reposted a disparaging video about him.
After she got a pass, she went on CNN and was asked about the controversy by Kaitlan Collins. Collins brought up the video that called Kirk "Dr. Frankenstein" and said "his monster shot him through the neck." When even Collins grasps that you're digging yourself a big hole and tries to reel you back in, you may just have said something pretty bad. She had to tell Omar that Kirk was a "husband and a father." But Omar just made things worse.

She replied that what she found jarring was that there were "so many people willing to excuse the most reprehensible things that he said." She said she wasn't going to sit and be judged for not wanting to honor Kirk or his legacy, which she said should be in the "dust bin of history." "We should hopefully move on and forget the hate he spewed every single day," she said.
Talk about being evil and not reading the room. She sounds like the accused killer who allegedly said that Kirk was "spreading hate." Even Collins' eyebrows went up with those comments - even she couldn't believe it.
Omar made other twisted comments,
He didn‘t believe that we should have equal access to anything. He also just didn't even believe I could be smart enough, I could have thoughts that could be equal to a White man. Where are we missing this conversation about who this man was and the things that he said?"
What you're missing is context and reality. Not to mention common decency.
She is, of course, not getting it. She will be the one forgotten, while Kirk's legacy will live on through his memory and this TPUSA legacy. Her attitude is one of the reasons that Democrat party approval is in the basement. She is one of the reasons Democrats are becoming Republicans, in my humble opinion.
In a way, the memorial for Charlie Kirk in the State Farm Arena in Arizona is a perfect rejoinder to Ilhan Omar. Would there ever be as many people wanting to come out to remember Omar? The memorial is bringing people together in prayer and celebrating his life. What has she done to contribute to the world besides being hateful? What would anyone celebrate about her?
She is just begging to be kicked out of the country.

Did she not gain her citizenship through fraud? If so, isn’t that reason to be returned from whence she came? Of course, maybe her brother was her husband. Being as she is a muhamedan, it may well be true!

They should be pitied because they do not have the slighest notion of the despair that awaits them. And I not talking about God putting them in an oven forever. God is not a monster. The word “forever” and “eternal” mean until it’s over.

I prefer that she stay and continue to show independent and traditional liberal voters what the Democrat party really stands for.

Only in the democrats vocabulary does disagreement = hate. Just like whenever they say "democracy", you have to substitute with socialism/marxism/communism to get their real meaning.
