'We Are Charlie Kirk!' South Koreans Take to the Streets in Global Show of Support

In a stunning display of international solidarity, thousands of South Koreans have taken to the streets chanting, “We are Charlie Kirk!” — a powerful declaration that underscores the global impact of the conservative firebrand’s message. Kirk's assassination has resulted in an eruption into a worldwide movement, as people across the globe are waking up to the dangerous creep of radical leftism and the silencing of dissenting voices.

The rallies in South Korea follow the shocking assassination of Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA. Rather than fading into fear or retreat, Kirk's message has ignited something deeper — a cultural and spiritual reawakening that’s resonating far beyond American borders.

Footage from Seoul shows crowds of people, many young and visibly energized, waving American and South Korean flags, holding signs with Kirk’s image, and chanting his name in defiance of the forces that seek to shut down truth through violence and censorship. The message is clear: the values Kirk stood for — free speech, individual liberty, faith, and national pride — are not just American ideals; they are human ideals.

🚨 BREAKING: South Koreans have taken to the streets en masse and are chanting “we are Charlie Kirk!” in yet another instance of Charlie’s reach being a worldwide movement. A sleeping giant has been awakened. 🇺🇸 🇰🇷

South Koreans, no strangers to the threat of authoritarianism from their northern neighbor, recognize the importance of preserving liberty. Many see in Kirk a modern-day Paul Revere, warning the world of the totalitarian impulse now spreading through progressive movements that demand submission to identity politics, state control, and moral relativism.

Other notable people have poured out support for Kirk and his family, including Coldplay's Chris Martin and Bob Seger-- both of whom held tributes to Kirk during their shows.

Last night in Nashville, Bob Seger delivered a moment so powerful it left an entire stadium breathless. In the middle of his set—just as the music thundered and the lights blazed—he suddenly stopped. Holding the microphone close, his voice rang out across the crowd, asking everyone to join him in a one-minute moment of silence for Charlie Kirk and the innocent lives lost on 9/11. And then, silence. More than 25,000 people stood still—no cheers, no music, only reverence. A single minute passed, heavy with sorrow, yet radiant with unity.

When the silence ended, Bob Seger lifted his voice.

Gravelly and soulful at first, then rising strong, he began to sing “God Bless America.” The crowd erupted—tens of thousands of voices soaring together, filling the night sky with a chorus of hope and pride. American flags waved high. Tears streamed down faces.

What had been silence became a tidal wave of song, spirit, and unbreakable togetherness. Bob Seger didn’t just pause a concert—he transformed it into a sacred tribute, a reminder of loss, resilience, and the grace of a nation standing as one.

1 Rise, ye children of salvation,
All who cleave to Christ the Head!
Wake, arise, O mighty nation,
Ere the foe on Zion tread;
He draws nigh and would defy
All the hosts of God Most High.

2 Saints and heroes long before us
Firmly on this ground have stood;
See their banners waving o’er us,
Conqu’rors through the Savior’s blood.
Ground we hold, whereon of old,
Fought the faithful and the bold.

3 Fighting, we shall be victorious
By the blood of Christ our Lord;
On our foreheads, bright and glorious,
Shines the witness of His Word;
Spear and shield on battlefield,
His great name; we cannot yield.

4 When His servants stand before Him,
Each receiving his reward,
When His saints in light adore Him,
Giving glory to the Lord;
“Victory!” our song shall be,
Like the thunder of the sea.

South Korea doesn’t just battle demons from the North, but some inner ones as well. It’s always been politically heated domestically and is facing some similar times as the US currently is now. (Left wing academia, Left wing media, Corrupt Establishment class etc…)

Worth nothing that Charlie Kirk spent some of last days on earth in South Korea and Japan. He was in Asia much if last week.

Here he was sharing his thoughts on Seoul and how what it’s illuminated for him about the state of America. (9/8/25)

'...no strangers to the threat of authoritarianism from their northern neighbor,'

I think a lot of those people also know from grandparents, great-grands, and school, what domination by the Japanese was like. I've had friends who told very sad stories.

Charlie Kirk was a Prophet, uniquely empowered by God to engage our youth.

Time will make this even more obvious.

Seger retired in 2019.

He’s not singing in any concert. It’s a fake Facebook page.

RE: There is a lot South Korean Christian Conservatives.

South Korea’s Population is about 52 million. As of 2025, approximately 28% of South Korea’s population identifies as Christian.

Here’s how that breaks down:
• 19.7% are Protestants
• 7.9% are Roman Catholics

That’s about 16 million Christians in the country.

Yep. More to the point, although Seger publicly described himself as a "right down the middle centrist", that was just to avoid pissing off half of his fans. In actual fact he was a solid Democrat, supported Hillary Clinton, and called Obama the best president in his lifetime.

So, even if he were still touring, would he have done this for Charlie Kirk? I think it unlikely.

A Turning Point? The Death of Charlie Kirk and the Possible Collapse of Progressive Ideology
By The Hermit

History often moves not in steady, predictable steps but in sudden lurches—shaped by moments so symbolic, so emotionally charged, that they become catalysts for greater change. For some, the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963 marked such a turning point: the end of postwar American innocence, the beginning of deep national mistrust, and the slow unraveling of the consensus that had defined mid-century America.

Now, six decades later, we may be witnessing the other bookend to that era.

The death of Charlie Kirk, a leading voice of youthful conservative activism, has sent shockwaves through American political culture. While history will need time to assign meaning to this event, one must ask: could this be the moment when conservatives finally say, “Enough”? Could it mark the beginning of the end of Progressive ideological dominance in the United States?

The Context of a Fractured Nation

For years, the American political left—broadly represented by progressive ideology—has expanded its influence across nearly all major institutions: education, media, entertainment, corporate HR departments, even certain religious communities. In many of these areas, dissenting views were not just discouraged but aggressively marginalized. Conservatives, for the most part, either adapted quietly or withdrew—sometimes creating their own spaces, sometimes conceding ground entirely.

But there’s a growing sense that something fundamental has shifted. The quiet majority is no longer so quiet. The outrage over cultural upheaval, institutional overreach, and the erosion of national identity has turned into a simmering anger. And now, with the death of Charlie Kirk, that anger may reach a boiling point.

Charlie Kirk as a Symbol

Charlie Kirk was not just a political commentator—he was a symbol of generational pushback. Unlike older conservatives often on the defensive, Kirk represented a new, unapologetic right that refused to cede moral ground to progressivism. He spoke directly to young people, challenged the left’s control of academia, and dared to confront institutional narratives. Whether one agreed with his rhetoric or not, his influence was undeniable.

If JFK’s death accelerated the fragmentation of American unity and opened the door to the cultural revolution of the late ‘60s and ‘70s, Kirk’s death may have the inverse effect: a unifying event for conservative resurgence, a moment of collective realization that passivity is no longer an option.

Is Progressivism Now Overextended?

Every ideology, when pushed too far, begins to falter under the weight of its own contradictions. Progressivism once stood for noble goals: civil rights, equality under the law, and fair opportunity. But in recent years, many believe it has mutated into something far more divisive—redefining language, punishing dissent, and promoting a moral superiority that alienates as much as it persuades.

We see this overreach in policies that prioritize illegal immigrants over citizens, in efforts to rewrite history, and in the erasure of traditional values that once unified communities. The backlash is already visible: increasing political polarization, growing distrust in media, and the rise of grassroots conservative movements across the country.

The death of Charlie Kirk may solidify that backlash into a coherent force.

A New Conservative Awakening?
Unlike the reaction to JFK’s death, which fractured a generation, the reaction to Kirk’s death may consolidate one. This time, it’s not about radical rebellion—but restoration. Not revolution—but return. A return to principles: limited government, free speech, individual responsibility, and national sovereignty.

Could Kirk’s death mark the beginning of a new conservative awakening? That remains to be seen. But the mood is changing. The ground beneath the progressive movement appears less solid. The appeal to institutional power—once seen as a strength—is now seen by many as an abuse. People are waking up, and they are not happy with what they see.

Conclusion: The Bookends of a Cultural Era?

From JFK to Kirk, we may indeed be witnessing the closing of a long and painful chapter in American political life. One that began with hope, spiraled into division, and now may find resolution in renewal.

Whether the death of Charlie Kirk becomes a true turning point in history is something only time will tell. But if it is, it will be because millions of Americans—quiet for too long—decided that the time for silence had ended.

They remembered what it meant to love their country, and they chose to fight for it.
