President Donald Trump on Wednesday embraced the FBI’s decision to open a conspiracy probe into a decade of alleged intelligence abuses and weaponized law enforcement, suggesting it could be led by a special prosecutor and even delve into “credible evidence” in the Jeffrey Epstein case in order to give Americans a greater dose of transparency and accountability.
He also vowed to declassify two highly sensitive pieces of intelligence to help further the prosecutor's efforts.
“Well, I'm happy that they did that,” Trump said during a wide-ranging interview with the Just the News, No Noise television show when asked about the FBI’s decision a few weeks ago to open a probe that examines abuses from 2016 to 2024 by Democrats and government officials as a continuing criminal conspiracy. “I don't know much about it, but it deserves to be done.”
“It was a disgrace what happened, what happened in 2016 and what happened in 2020. It's a disgraceful situation," he said. "And our voting has to be straightened out. I always say if you don't have borders, if you don't have fair and free voting, you don't have a country.”
Unprompted, Trump then volunteered on his own that a special prosecutor – if one is appointed by Justice – to look at weaponization could also delve into "anything credible" on Jeffrey Epstein and his files to make sure Americans have a full accounting.
“I think they could look at all of it. It's all the same scam. They could look at this Jeffrey Epstein hoax also, because that's the same stuff that's all put out by Democrats,” Trump said, when asked what he’d most like to see the FBI investigate.
When pressed whether he was comfortable with a special prosecutor on weaponization also looking at Epstein, he answered, “They've already looked...

Special prosecutor is just another attempt to bury it for another two or three years. Then anytime it comes up, he can say I appointed a special prosecutor and I cannot interfere. Bottom line, you don’t need a special prosecutor unless the regular prosecutor has a conflict of interest. Why would DOJ have a conflict of interest about who was on the Epstein island rape list? For that matter, why would the White House have that same conflict of interest?
It’s only 4:40. Trump can still reverse positions three more times before midnight.
I know, I know ... 4-d chess and all that.
Trump wants to dominate the next news cycle. He will swerve as needed.
“careful
you almost sound like a woke lefty who has been triggered”

So everything has to have unshakeable support for Trump or you’re a lefty?
Did Mr. Robinson appoint you our new political commissar here?
Course if you want justice for hundreds of or thousands of of raped children, then not so good.
blackfog: “ I hope he (Trump) gets back to me? I took it kinda personal.”
Hold your breath, Les Miserables Freepers!
Ex-CIA Biil Barr picked Bull Durham.
You poor thing.
I can’t fathom anyone who still has any faith that the DOJ of the past administrations held in their possession evidence, that would convict them of crimes, and did tamper with it. That’s the “hoax.” And you’re one of the people President Trump refers to. You should take it personally and go on over to the DU.
“Course if you want justice for hundreds of or thousands of of raped children, then not so good.”

It’s a sad but still true fact that sexual assault victims only rarely receive the justice they deserve. There’s little reason to expect it in a case like this one, particularly when several of the prime potential witnesses and defendants are dead.
“Some stupid Republicans....”
President Trump said it.
Don’t try to gaslight us—we are not that stupid.
I think a special prosecutor is the best bet here..Trump is too heavily involved in this. He was friends with Epstein, its just not some random joe schmoe pedo, its someone Trump knew and was friends with, so I think a special prosecutor comes in, someone with NO bias, gets all the documents, etc, and decides on his or her own what to release to the public, who to prosecute, etc..that way Trump’s hands are no longer involved in this, he has NO say in the matter anymore
Look at the date on that, now they’ve read the hoax evidence.
So... you prefer AG Bondi, whose image immediately triggers BDS among Les Miserables Freepers, to conduct the investigation?
It’s either a special prosecutor or someone in-house
Alex Acosta is still alive. He was grilled about Epstein by the OPR.
If any of those documents related to his dealings have been altered he can attest to it. Btw, all his incoming emails went up in a poof of “technical glitch”
Hope you’re not advocating giving up. There are, at least, HUNDREDS of monsters who need hunting down.
Why bother? Nobody of any importance would be charged anyway, especially the criminals who had sex with underage girls and paid for it. Waste of tax payer dollars. The so-called victims were paid off through a special fund, and I don’t hear any of them demanding that the client list be released so their abusers can be punished. Epstein is dead. What evidence was used to indict him in the first place has gone away. The only thing left to explain is, if Epstein wasn’t guilty, and no evidence exists, why did Maxwell get charged and convicted?
Yep, Blondi will get right on it. Barr 2.0.
So Alex Acosta participated in a hoax?
Spot on comment. He’ll be right back to saying he loves his supporters before the week is out. He’s all over the place.
So it's Trump and Bondi who created the Epstein mess?
Nevermind the mess that was the Epstein case before that?
This is where these people are coming from.
Nevermind the 4 years previous where the DS Biden administration, controlled/created/deleted/modified Epstein evidence and possible Epstein himself?
