President Donald Trump on Wednesday disowned his supporters who have called for the release of files related to Jeffrey Epstein, chiding them as "weaklings" who "bought into this bulls---."

The lengthy post on Truth Social represents the clearest split from the faction of his MAGA base that has questioned the Justice Department’s handling of the case.

My "PAST supporters have bought into this “bulls---” hook, line, and sinker," he said in the post, adding, "Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work, don’t even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don’t want their support anymore!"

I looked up a links someone provided which was described as Trump’s promise to investigate Epstein, and what I found was a MSM interview which seemed like a setup - they asked Trump if he would perform investigations on two other topics and then asked about Epstein as the third topic. So Trump answered ‘yes’ to the first two requests for investigations (I know one of them was 9/11) and then it would look odd if he said ‘no’ to the last question, re Epstein.
This is later fanned into ‘But Trump Promised!’. If he said ‘no’ he’d have to explain that his DOJ in 2019 (when Epstein was arrested) was corrupt etc. He would never make it to office if he took the bait.

After RussiaGate, perhaps Trump expected the public to recognize ‘the process’ which the Deep State uses to discredit him while manipulating the public.
