President Donald Trump on Wednesday disowned his supporters who have called for the release of files related to Jeffrey Epstein, chiding them as "weaklings" who "bought into this bulls---."
The lengthy post on Truth Social represents the clearest split from the faction of his MAGA base that has questioned the Justice Department’s handling of the case.
My "PAST supporters have bought into this “bulls---” hook, line, and sinker," he said in the post, adding, "Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work, don’t even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don’t want their support anymore!"

I don’t think it’s a wedge issue - I think it’s a conspiracy theory that turned out to be bullshit. Not the part about Epstein Island being a prostitution service for wealthy perverts - I have no doubt that was the case.
The part that turned out to be bullshit was that it was a CIA/MOSSAD operation to blackmail US opposition politicians or foreign heads of state. That part turned out not to be true. Which is why there’s no “client list”.
The only point in keeping a client list, or other evidence of crime, is blackmail, so if it wasn’t a honey trap, why keep lists or video evidence? After all, people who pay big bucks to go to a private island expect privacy.
Some things called “conspiracy theories” are actual conspiracies - like the stolen 2020 election. Some turn out to be wrong - like the faked moon landing - yet some people will always remain convinced the moon landing was faked.
Some we’ll never know because powerful people want it covered up.
But just for the sake of argument, let’s say team Trump went in there believing the FBI really did have a list of pedophiles - the FBI dragged its feet - Bondi pushed harder - made promises - doubled down - only to find out there is no list per se? What if they found the FBI had good reasons for not releasing what they had to the public - namely that being on a contact list, a guest list or a passenger list would not be proof of any criminality? ..or that porn video only showed the faces of the exploited girls, not the faces of the ones doing the exploiting?

Well, President Trump has made it clear where he stands on this issue.
And now people have to make a decision about what they think about that.
But it seems clear (to me) that President Trump has been clear that he doesn’t need the support of people who are criticizing him about the Epstein issue.
It’s done. Over. The train is rolling and it is begining to crush the left. And it will crush those who are fair weather friends and aid the left also.
My gut feeling is that this turn around has EVERYTHING to do with brokering peace in the Middle East, I think MANY of the big wigs in the ME are up to their eyeballs in Epstein and the intel agencies!! Trump is not going to do ANYTHING that could blow up a peace deal in the ME!!! The reason this is not going away is because Epstein IS the face of the utter corruption and control in government!! EVERYONE KNOWS the intel agencies are the problems around the world AND Epstein is the face of that, with that being said intel is capable of ANYTHING they are evil to the core they THRIVE on the control that they have!! Trump has to find a way to bring them down without forcing them underground if ANYONE can accomplish this Trump will find a way!!

Now I’m really wondering what’s on that list. This is like cops walking into a house, and the person saying you can look anywhere except that last bedroom at the end of the hall. Whatever you do, you’re not allowed to look in there. He’s protecting pedophiles, or at least people who are OK with pedophiles. And he’s also protecting the CIA, or Mossad. Or both.

What is the best way to handle that situation?
Reasonable people could disagree on that—but calling your supporters “stupid” for seeking disclosure would not be on the list.
A two page Department of Justice memo released to Axios first would not be on the last.
Having Kash and Bongino made unproven claims that Epstein killed himself is not on that list.
There is just one blunder after another.
Proper handling would have miminized this issue—and might have even made it go away.
But—at the end of the day any administration should have known they could not bluff their way through it. At some point they were going to have to go Open Kimono whether to a Congressional Committee in a SCIF or a Special Counsel or some other process. It would be better for them to drive that process rather than trying to lose control of the situation by bluster and unsubstantiated and unproven accusations of others.
How so?
I don’t think anyone will vote for someone with a Trump name after this.

I'm a realist. I'm married a long time. Geriatric. Many administrations and never receive everything I expected. I have patience and healthy skepticism. 6 months in, I'm staying on the Trump train.
Not everything undisclosed is something I need to know.
No politician tells the truth. I have low expectations of them.
