FAITH OR FEAR?
For whatever does not originate and proceed from faith is sin [whatever is done without a conviction of its approval by God is sinful]. — Romans 14:23
Is it possible to allow someone to control and manipulate us, honestly saying we are doing so in faith? Of course not! We know this type of behavior is rooted in fear, not faith. Faith obeys God, but fear is easily intimidated and finds many excuses for disobedience. A person who is a perfectionist, a workaholic, or involved in sexual perversion is just as dependent as someone who is addicted to a chemical substance like tobacco, alcohol, or drugs. If we try to meet the needs of that person at the expense of our own needs, we are co-dependent upon that individual. It is good to help people who have been hurt; but when their emotional needs begin to control us, we are in danger of being led by them and their problems instead of being led by the Holy Spirit of God. Faith causes us to step out and say or do what God places in our hearts, but fear causes us to timidly stay under control and domination. How many times have we heard manipulative people say things like, "I'm old, and you don't care anything about me now," or "I raised you all of your life. I sacrificed to house and clothe you and put you through school, and now you want to just leave me here all alone"? There is a balance to be maintained in such situations. That balance is the Holy Spirit within us to guide us into the truth of each situation. He will provide us the wisdom to know when we are to be adaptable and adjustable and when we are to take a firm stand and be immovable. Always keep in mind that faith obeys God, fear is easily moved by unbridled emotion! From the book New Day, New You: 365 Devotions for Enjoying Everyday Life by Joyce Meyer. Dear God: I ask that no Airman, Coast Guardsman, Marine, Sailor, Soldier, Reservist, National Guardsman, or Merchant Marine feel alone or forgotten.
O Israel, hope in the Lord; For with the Lord there is loving kindness, And with Him is abundant redemption. And He will redeem Israel From all his iniquities.

Extra prayers for Israel...

He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.

G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.

Good evening, radu, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
Any rest and relaxation for you now that you and Champ finished mowing?

Hey there, Kathy.
Unfortunately, yes, but not by choice. We keep getting rain showers and it just takes one to kill any thoughts of hopping on Champ. I’d have been out there the past 4 days otherwise.

A very pleasant good Sunday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country.
We had quite a day yesterday. A t-storm came through with a wet microburst causing a utility pole to blow over and we lost power for about 90 minutes or so yesterday.

The city set it back up and brought another pole to go along with it. They should be back at work today or tomorrow.
We did get a few minutes in at Comanche before the storms came.

How's everyone doing this morning?

I hope your weather didn’t get as dodgy as it did in the OKC area and in Tulsa! All those floods. Wow!

How’d the day go? Any chance you got a little rain? I know some areas down there got more than they wanted.

Yikes on the storm knocking the pole over. Looks like you got a good dose of rain too. A lot of water in the ditch. Glad you didn’t get the flooding they dealt with north of you.
Gizmo looked a little apprehensive while y’all were out. Probably heard thunder in the distance long before you did.
