P.S. And for those who say we are not to treat a griving widow this way needs to read this.
Titus 3:2 (ESV): Advises speaking evil of no one and showing courtesy to all.
On how to treat widows.
1 Timothy 5:3-13 NIV (New International Version)
“Give proper recognition to those widows who are really in need. But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God. The widow who is really in need and left all alone puts her hope in God and continues night and day to pray and to ask God for help. But the widow who lives for pleasure is dead even while she lives. Give the people these instructions, so that no one may be open to blame. Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. No widow may be put on the list of widows unless she is over sixty, has been faithful to her husband, and is well known for her good deeds, such as bringing up children, showing hospitality, washing the feet of the Lord’s people, helping those in trouble and devoting herself to all kinds of good deeds. As for younger widows, do not put them on such a list. For when their sensual desires overcome their dedication to Christ, they want to marry. Thus they bring judgment on themselves, because they have broken their first pledge. Besides, they get into the habit of being idle and going about from house to house. And not only do they become idlers, but also busybodies who talk nonsense, saying things they ought not to.”
I read this as applying to family and her church and if she is worthy of having that support. Someone who DOES NOT know Erica, nor lives anywhere near her is NOT obligated to care for her. We would not even know where she lives.
Also she has put herself in the public eye when she CHOOSE to become the CEO of TPUSA. She did NOT choose to stay home and care for her children. It isn’t as though she is in such dire straights money wise that she has to work.
How did it go, Jem? Everything ok?
Here’s a little smile:

Started at 6:55 AM. First one in, last one out. Now...
In the ER until about 10 tonight. Every thing was going well, great even. But at the end phase I had a serious reaction so they stabilized and sent me to the ER for observation. #5 for the year. Probably going home tonight. Heart fine. Anaphylactic real tion.6 hour observation. I am really much better.
Big sigh. Changing protocols.
Geez Louise. Hope you’re well enough to go home tonight, unless you prefer to stay there just for peace of mine.
God keep you.
Thank you. I believe the worst is over. I’m stronger and the pain is almost all gone.
No! Going home. Even if I have to slither.
Well, the ER doc observed until 2AM. My rides had gone to their home and gone to bed. So, I hired an Uber to take me to my car at the nearby cancer center and I drove home. Went to sleep at 3. Woke up at 8 and heading to sleep again in a few minutes. Very tired.
Hokey schmokes. You really were determined to make it home! Have a good, long sleep. Sounds like you could use it!
The bendeka infusion went very well and fast today. I have been getting so many steroids and premeds that I am just zonked. Fortunately, because steroids promote insomnia, I have a powerful sleeping pill to help.
One good thing I experienced yesterday and today is that everytime my veins were stuck, a total of four sticks, the technician got into the vein on the first stick. Yay! The record it has taken is six tries for one infusion. Yowks!
Youch~
Ouch!
Consarnit!
Rassle-frassin!
Oh-confluie!
Drat!
Poor pain!
Oh, no not again!
I don’t have any more unstuck veins!
Victory!
