In many ways, the winner of the Democratic primary for mayor of New York City Zohran Mamdani is a gift to Republicans.
He puts a big spotlight on all the extremism that the Democrats have embraced; he drives it all out into the open.
When asked by host Kristen Welker whether he thought as a "self-declared Democratic Socialist," whether billionaires have a "right to exist." His response should give everyone pause.

I don't think that we should have billionaires because, frankly, it is so much money in a moment of such inequality. And. ultimately, what we need more of is equality across our city and across our state and across our country. And I look forward to work with everyone, including billionaires, to make a city that is fairer for all of them.
Wow, imagine this kind of thinking. He doesn't think we should have billionaires "in a moment of such inequality." Is success "unequal" and "unfair?"
The next question he is not asked is how much money does he believe people should be allowed to have? https://t.co/MUKGPvSuJd— Stephen L. Miller (@redsteeze) June 29, 2025
Capitalism makes anything possible for anyone, you succeed or fail by your effort and abilities. Government doesn't dictate what people can make, we all have that promise and possibility. If a billionaire is successful, good for him, that doesn't bring me down. If anything, it may help me if I benefit from his products, his donations, or his jobs. And it's because of those billionaires that you have businesses that employ thousands in New York, that have made all kinds of donations to services and benefits in NYC.
If Mamdani doesn't think there should be billionaires in NYC, he may get that outcome - if they flee if he were to become mayor. And they take their business, their jobs, and their donations elsewhere. Not to mention their tax revenue.
Mamdani also had people talking when he said they would "stand up and fight back" if ICE actions were stepped up in NYC.
🚨 JUST IN: Muslim socialist Zohran Mamdani DOUBLES DOWN on plans to kick ICE out of NYC
Are you committed to keeping New York a sanctuary city?
ZOHRAN: "Absolutely...I will be PROUD to stand up...those days [of arrests] are going to come to an END."pic.twitter.com/1Ck4X615nv— Eric Daugherty (@EricLDaugh) June 29, 2025
He said the NYPD would not be helping in the event of ICE arrests if he were mayor.
She should have asked what he meant by "stand up and fight back." What does he intend to do? But once again, you see the left's extremism in standing against the enforcement of the law.
Welker did ask about another plan he had that raised some questions.
Mamdani is unapologetic about language in his plan that would tax “whiter” neighborhoods at higher rates:
"It's not driven by race….I'm just naming things as they are." pic.twitter.com/Dnrtij9BxH— Western Lensman (@WesternLensman) June 29, 2025
Welker said there was a policy proposal on his website "to shift the tax burden from overtaxed homeowners in the outer boroughs to more expensive homes in richer and whiter neighborhoods." She wanted to know why he was "bringing race into your tax proposal."
He said it wasn't "driven by race," that was just a "description" of the neighborhoods.
Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon, who heads up the Civil Rights Division, responded, "We'll see."

This is the guy who just won the Democratic primary. Because it's NYC, the chances he will become mayor are very high. This is where the Democrat party is now: represented by a smooth talker who smiles while saying the most absurd things.
The Dems are thinking....Why did we back this idiot??
I'm gonna use that next chance I get. Should work out just fine.
When the term “capitalism” was coined, it was a pejorative.
Because the demonrats are braindead.
This guy is the best thing to happen to the Republican and conservative movement since Kamala Harris.
I sincerely hope he wins
Tampon Tim has said before that the reason they lost this election is because they didn’t go far enough with their liberal agenda. Maybe this is more what he thinks Democrats need to be.

America is the only place in the world where the poor get free food, free money, free internet, free healthcare, free housing, and die of obesity in front of their 70 inch flat screen TV.
bingo!
,,, speading poverty evenly. Yeah, that’s a winner LOL.
Ms Liberty has six toes?
LOL!
Yeah sure. I'll believe it if they don't vote for him in the actual election. But we all know they will.
The reason billionaires exist is because they have offered the public stuff and services that the public eagerly pays for to get them.
So Musk - offered Teslas and millions gladly traded their dollars for them.
Bezos created Amazon and hundreds of millions gladly buy things there everyday.
Gates brought out OS and apps that hundred of millions (actually billions) use everyday to do thousand of different jobs from which they make money.
Steve Jobs and Apple created the smart phone which today you cannot live without - it has revolutionized the world.
And so on down the line. These are heroes to be honored not villains to be maligned by demagogues and propagandists who have created nothing but are good at stirring people’s envy and sow discord!
I truly despise these roaches.

What were they even thinking, to let it get this far with their personal support? Wake up, while you can!
They have a history of backing idiots.
Conservatives were saying the same thing about Obama when he won the Democratic nomination.
We need fairness.... What is he 5? No one can make life “fair”. He sounds very immature.
