Ranked Choice Voting is a Tool for Electing Leftist Extremists

The New York City mayor's race is this way by design.

The polls showing that Zohran Mamdani, a socialist and Muslim terror supporter who only became a citizenship in 2018, could become the mayor of New York City, where his compatriots murdered thousands of Americans, may or may not be true, but there’s no reason why they wouldn’t be.

Mamdani is up against Cuomo, a repulsive and widely hated figure that opponents of the Muslim socialist are only getting behind because the alternative is even worse, and then Mayor Eric Adams, whom much of the city probably right believes is corrupt. There are other candidates in the race, but at this point they don’t really matter very much.

But above all else, the only reason Mamdani’s numbers look this good is that ranked choice voting is doing what it’s supposed to.

Ranked choice voting is designed to elevate fringe candidates who normally wouldn’t have much of a shot in a normal race. And then the same hipster-industrial complex that went to town making De Blasio seem cool and relatable goes to work on what sociopath they picked to make him seem acceptable to at least enough people, not as a first choice, but as a choice.

Add on the large voting base of elderly people who assume that candidates are ranked in order of preference and end up ranking bad candidates last, the whole thing can be moneyballed into a catastrophe.

I just figure that election results are made up.

Ranked Choice just makes it easier to sell people on the idea that the most ridiculous candidate turned out to be the most popular choice.

That’s because the left uses it for advantage, whereas the right doesn’t.

exactly: no matter the system the left is willing to game it to gain the advantage no matter if it is immoral or not.

It’s funny that the retards in the world think you HAVE to write in all the slots.

I hope they elect the communist. I don’t think Trump would lift a finger to help NY when it collapses. The people of NYC deserve whatever they get.

Related...

Nearly a quarter of NYC’s early voters were new Democratic primary participants

But it's far more than RCV, isn't it...

It's RCV, early voting, mail-in voting, any excuse absentee, no voter ID, electronic voting machines and tabulators...

Unless we clean this up, we have no hope of keeping our republic.

Use yer noggin.

If they’d vote for this, then why does Deep State have to steal their elections?!

Democrats will do anything to tilt an election in their favor. Never trust them.

This is rigging an election. It should be outlawed.

Sooooo.....
Intelligence has left the building in NYC- it gets more like “Escape from New York” every day.
AND they picked a terrorist supporting muslim in the primary.
I wonder how many gays and trannies voted for him? I wonder if this means NYC has more terrorists than they thought? I wonder if NYC will ever have an honest election again?
Is it something in the water?

NYC has been corrupt for a long time.

The more complicated a voting process, the easier it is to game the system.

NYC has been a pretty much one-party city for a long time. When one party controls the police and the electoral system, corruption is much easier. What politically appointed Police Chief or party Prosecutor is going to go after people where there party “won” the election.

Giuliani said on Newmax that it’s glaringly unconstitutional. No way is this one-person-one-vote.

It should be addressed, then outlawed, in Congress.

Looks like New York may as well stay6 home & not even vote if those are their choices. Maybe someone worthwhile will jump in late in the Game & at least give them a real choice. Doesn’t appear that they have any decent choice right now & that is insane because I know there are good folks in that state. Just doesn’t appear to be any running for the office at this time.

The reason why Mamdani won is because he got more votes than any other candidate. Blaming RCV is nonsense.

Left wing New York City votes for left wing candidate shocker !!!!

Correct. Murk got clobbered in the straight-up voting, but RCV saved her sorry ass. Same thing will happen next time she is up for re-election as long as Alaska has RCV.

And Democrats voted for Murkowski, so she’s beholden to them.
