But is it the truth....or just a fairy tale created by the media...cuz it makes for good press.
You really think Israel would let that out??
To: Sacajaweau
I think Iran already found out, shortly after they realized so many of their top generals were dead.
“No Comrade, by Allah I did not summon them either.”
“Well if you didn’t, who did?”
At that moment, Nassir Ossofat pops into frame, in blackface, doing his best Spike Lee impression, “It’s gotta be da Jooz!”

Agreed. Israel keeps its military operations secret, like my ex does with the desires I’m sure she still has for me.

Much easier to take one out at a time.
So no one smells something fishy after the 3rd arrival. Sorry....doubt this big met ever happened...

If the story is true, it’s a shame the story is out because they’ll never be able to use that tactic again.

No it's not; even animals run away when they are picked off one by one. Catch them all in one net and there is no escape.

There seem to be clear advantages to serving out of loyalty rather than fear.
To: Sacajaweau
Some plans only work once.
To: CaptainK
It won’t be used again, and now that the story is out, Iran’s military leaders might be less apt to follow commands. They won’t know which ones are real and which are fake.
Structure cohesion is disrupted.

Those calls instructed them to all meet a reinforced bunker in Tehran, an order none of them questioned. It's safe to speculate that the attraction which brought them was the promised appearance of dancer Allahwiha Sabrahipalyasheika.
Brilliant.

We are entering the age of AI—where it will be easy to imitate the voice and even the video of anyone.
I would expect to see variations of this tactic used repeatedly by tech savvy military or intelligence folks from many countries.

"When you serve at the behest of an Islamic dictator who tortures and kills people who step out of line, you aren't exactly in a position to question an order." During WWII, the OSS exploited the same mentality with time fused explosives on trains. They would attach magnetic explosives to trains in the depot timed to blow when they train was in a tunnel or on a bridge. The explosive had a paper seal with a german government eagle/swastika and a warning to not remove or tamper with the device knowing that good, obedient germans, would see the seal and move along without looking too closely.
