Residents, however, painted a different picture, telling My San Antonio that Joss was an “erratic” neighbor, whose alarming antics caused them to regularly ignore him for their own safety.
“He would just walk up and down the street … he would just, like, scream,” said neighbor Isabel Caballero. “We knew how he was, so we wouldn’t disturb him. Even if he looked at us, talked mess to us, we just ignored him.”
San Antonio cops were called to Joss’ home at least 40 times since January 2024, according to the outlet, with complaints ranging from mental health situations, neighbor disturbances and welfare checks.
Those calls culminated with the February fire, which neighbors told TMZ Joss set himself by trying to heat his home with a barbecue pit after its services were cut off because the house had been deemed uninhabitable.
“We all knew it was going to end up like this because of his antics,” a neighbor who asked to remain anonymous told My San Antonio.
“It’s sad cause this could have been prevented if he had gotten the help he needed.”

When i first moved to San Antonio, I did NOT go in with blinders on. Being fully aware of major metropolitan areas in general and San Antonio through diligence and research, you just KNOW never to live on the south side of town.
Since the Smolette farce I question all these homephobic crimes, too often the only criminal is the one reporting it.

I am from SA, and any local could tell ya that a good chunk of the south side can be “adventurous” after sundown. Heck, some parts of the south side can be risky in the daylight.

While I find homosexuality disgusting, people who practice it have as much right as anyone else to live a peaceful life, free of harassment - let alone outright murder. I hope that the arsehole who murdered him fries.

I live in S.A. and there are already things coming out about Joss from his neighbors on local media.
I don't want to speak ill of the dead, but this sounds like a story that has two sides, and it may be difficult to ever find out what the truth is.
But I will say, I'm sure that many of us have dealt with difficult neighbors before without killing them.
Unreal, over a story that has absolutely NOTHING to do with Trump or his supporters.
