The United States and Saudi Arabia reached a $142 billion arms deal, President Donald Trump shared on Tuesday.

Trump’s announcement came during his speech at the Saudi-U.S. Investment Forum in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, amid his state visit to the Middle East.

“In addition to purchases of $142 billion of American-made military equipment by our great Saudi partners, the largest ever, this week, there are multibillion dollar commercial deals with Amazon, Oracle, AMD…Uber, Qualcomm, Johnson & Johnson, and many, many more,” the president said.

The commander-in-chief touted the quality of American military products moments earlier.

Well, they don’t maintain their stuff, at all.

They also can’t fly, at all.

After a year, these are expensive paperweights.

They don’t build stuff either - imported “labor” does all the work. Nothing new. In the old days, the Jews did the work.

I’m squeamish about the head of our government getting involved in company-specific deals.

But Trump’s idea of in general of greasing the skids for improved diplomatic relations by adding in economic benefit I think is a good one.

Bay Buchanan (Pat’s sister and former Reagan Secretary of the Treasury) said “I filter everything coming into my brain through politics.” That is exactly what I do.

Therefore, I wonder how many Arab votes in crucial states like Michigan will move to the GOP. Trump appointed two Arab mayors from Michigan to posts.

Bill Bazzi, the mayor of Dearborn Heights , the U.S. ambassador to Tunisia.
Amer Ghalib, the mayor of Hamtramck, the U.S. ambassador to Kuwait.

The honor and pomp and circumstance means a lot to Arabs. We have important US Senate, Governor and other elections coming up.
Just wondering.

He is giving the MIC a bone in hopes they will “let” him end the war in the Ukraine. Problem is they are going to be absolutely tickled to keep/take both and throw him under the bus anyhow.

I don’t know when folks are going to realize it, but the MIC and Intelligence agencies are running this country not Trump or even Congress.

Still do.

Tons of oilfield equipment gets shipped to some third country, sits on a boat to say it went there, then goes to Israel to get fixed, then back to the third country.

They may have stopped this charade by now, but that’s what it was when I was a young engineer and worked for (ultimately) AARAMCO.

Openly celebrated Chanukah in a walled company town in Saudi, menorah in the window.

I miss Bay Buchanan. I’m guessing she had enough of politics and walked away.

What happens in 4 years if/when the DemonRats win the elections? From what I understand KSA funds most of the mosques in the U.S. As another Freeper said, most of the 9/11 hijacakers were KSA citizens. What happens if/when KSA joins BRICS? And from what I was told by a person watching the FNC feed from Riyadh today, when POTUS #45/47 brought up the Abrahamic Accords (which only 4 of the 57 Muslim states have signed since 2020, the room went deathly silent. Too many “ifs”.
