Howz about throwing in some anti-leftist/DEI/idiot training to boot? The left is sooooo much more dangerous than guns.

I absolutely agree with this! Teach them as young as possible while they are impressionable.

My classmate, Mark Lewis, from Hilltop Junior High School in 1970 would be here today if safety classes had been available. Instead, he attended a party where a shotgun was mishandled. He was shot in the neck and died on the spot.

My high school had a .22 gun range for ROTC members. I think its still there.

It’s a good first step. Once the dust settles, bring back the basement gun ranges in schools and follow up with rifle and pistol marksmanship training.

Sounds like a good idea to me.
The cubs have all had training with weapons but some of their friends have not.
The reasons vary as to why. If you can believe it some parents do not think it is necessary because "they have always been around guns". And they have always been around food, that does not mean they know how to cook. Others say that they will do it "some day when they are older". If you are in school you are old enough to learn the basics.

Heh....should be a short class. Most kids in AR know more than adults on gun safety.

I agree. We had Hunter Safety Course’s in Colorado. We also had a rifle team in high school. Those kids could shoot!

It’s a good idea but I’m not too sure about the mandatory part.

Better skills with firearms than learning about sexual perversion.

I’m 80....When we were young...say 12....we went to Grandpa’s farm and learned....How do you think pioneer kids learned??
To: ChicagoConservative27
Marek my words the curriculum will include telling kids to go home and call the police and tell them so and so has guns in their house.

A friend lost a son because of a 22 and a 14 year old boy’s curiosity.
