On Thursday’s broadcast of CNN’s “The Source,” Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) stated that if there is a vote on a continuing resolution with changes to reflect DOGE’s work, — like what House Speaker Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) suggested on Wednesday could be the means to avert a government shutdown — Democrats “should vote no. There’s no way we can go along with just blanket cuts where Congress hasn’t been consulted.”
Host Kaitlan Collins asked, “Congressman, if that comes up for a vote, a CR with the changes made to account for what DOGE has done so far, how do you think your party should handle that?”

Can we PLEASE get legislators in office who understand how our system works> The separation of powers? maybe actually READ the Constitution?
Instead of these IDIOTS?
Ro needs to take his ass back home. Go take all your crap back to India, Slick.
Omnibus spending bills are not the work product of consultation in congress. Those are actually grounds for impeachment. Congress has not performed its primary duty of agency spending appropriations for 14 years now. The congress needs to be reporting on five things it did last week, because whatever they were doing, it wasn’t their jobs.
“””There’s no way we can go along with just blanket cuts where Congress hasn’t been consulted.””””
How about Congress being given 3 hours to debate any proposed cut submitted by Musk and Trump and then a roll call vote is taken.
Then the public will have a record of the Congressional Critters who voted for or against any cut.
RATS want a CR because it will obligate more money to USAID etc…. A CR is just a continuation of the existing budget. No CR, tell your Congressman. If Congress obligated the funds it makes it harder for Trump to stop the funding.
“””Congress has not performed its primary duty of agency spending appropriations for 14 years now”””
The last time Congress did any meaningful budget cutting was when the Gingrich Led Congress forced Clinton in 1998 to end up with a balanced budget.
How about Congress actually pass a budget? Bonus points if it has no deficit!
Stuff it where the sun doesn't shine khanna.
How come every time I pull up an article and the democrats are complaining, the whiner has a foreign name. It is the same the judges who are blocking progress. It is especially noticeable in England.
“D”, California.....nough said.
Refugees, and illegal aliens are taking all the government jobs and Americans continue to elect the scum to Congress. “Most of their bestest friends are America hating foreigners.”
At this particular time, what this Congressman thinks is meaningless.
Didn’t I see this dude in the second Indiana Jones movie?
We’re getting to the point where we don’t need a Congress. If the president, as shown by Biden, can spent nilly Willy on what he wants, kiss them good bye.
If you are against the cuts ,you must be getting a cut.
LOL
Empty clown posturing. He is a rubber stamp for every Democrat bill that was offered up with no review by the Democrats under Pleosie.
Trying to pretend he cares what is being voted on now is just lying.
Dear block head lying Congresscritter
The CR is Congress being consulted. So, if you stop lying for once, just say you and the Democrats in Congress, are voting against any cuts to the waste fraud and abuse uncovered by DOGE
