I’d settle for a Reduction in Force.

Have Elon email all the Democrats and ask for five things they did for the Citizenry last week.

Government shutdowns are usually not very popular with the public, especially when Republicans are responsible for the shutdown.

If Democrats shut down the Government, I say let’em and keep it shut down for a long time.

It would be so sad if a few Republicans split ranks and agreed with the Democrats to shut down the government.

Lol.

In all the previous Gubmint shutdowns, were you affected? Did you even notice other than the press stooges with their hair ablaze? Bad move on the Dems part. This is not business as usual in DC this spring.

Sounds like they’re timing it to coincide with the other boycott/strike happening that day.

A long shutdown would be nice. And it should be easy to have Democrats take the blame.

Think about this—a government shutdown closes all federal courts.

Meanwhile the President can have “necessary” federal employees on the job doing what we need done.

This looks like a win to me.

Not in the slightest

The water and lights stayed on. Phones and internet still functioned. Our local police and fire Dept still came to work. Food still came to the grocery stores and the hospitals and doctors were still there.

Honestly, Fed.gov is needed for nothing.

Please shut it down.

Last time, during Obama they actually spent more money keeping people from fishing from boats in public waters along a national seashore, saying the park was “closed.” I don’t anticipate any of that insanity, but the dims will try to make it as uncomfortable as possible.

Exactly. And the longer the government stays shut down, the more people will come to realize just how little the federal government’s role in their lives really is. Once that happens, people might even begin questioning why they have to pay so much in taxes and why the government spends so much. We already know this and hence fight for reductions in government, but the public in general still thinks that government programs are very important in their lives. A good, long shutdown might be just the remedy for this.

YES...and NO BACK PAY FOR FEDERAL EMPLOYEES WHEN GOVERNMENT REOPENS ! Why pay federal employees for doing nothing during a shutdown?

Consequences for Leftist nonsense MUST be imposed.

When the federal government shuts down, nobody’s life in the real world comes to a halt.

Government shutdowns are usually not very popular with the public, especially when Republicans are responsible for the shutdown.

To my memory, Republicans always get the blame, and their "crime" has usually been to try to get ridiculous spending removed from the budget and the Democrats and the press tell people they're going to cut off their Social Security and the Republicans cave and the ridiculous spending stays in.
