Nikki Hiltz had a weekend to remember at the USATF Indoor Championships in Staten Island, N.Y., and did something no other runner had accomplished.
On Saturday, Hiltz won the women’s 3,000 meters. They followed it up on Sunday with a win in the 1,500. Hiltz became the first runner to win five consecutive U.S. 1,500-meter titles, including both indoor and outdoor tracks. They also became the first runner to sweep the 1,500 and 3,000 middle distance women’s races since 2020.
Hiltz is trans and nonbinary and proudly races for the LGBTQ community, a fact noted by their partner, Emma Gee, also an accomplished runner, on Instagram.
“1500 AND 3k Indoor Champion Feeling very lucky to be able to watch @nikkihiltz do what they love this weekend,” Gee wrote. “All I have to to say is…if you’ve never been interested in watching track, just go watch a race Nikki’s in (or just a 1500 on general it’s WIlD) and you’ll be on the edge of your seat.

I can’t decide whether this story constitutes a farce or a tragedy.
Can’t wait till Trump slams the door on this bs...
How many short years ago would this title have meant nothing to us?! :)
We would have looked at it and had NO IDEA what it meant?
Not that long ago.
How terrifying
In 2023, USA Track & Field (USATF) received $35.01 million in revenue from tax dollars
I’m pretty sure this is just a lesbian chick running in womens races
How can someone be trans and non-binary?
It seems that Nikki Hiltz is biologically female. So, she’s a female who has relationships with women, likes to style her hair (and I assume dresses) as a male. Oddly enough though, she doesn’t seem to be trying to force her way into competitions against men. Hmmmm, now why might that be?
Article doesn’t seem to mention if it was a men’s race or women’s race...seems like a strange omission.
“They also became the first runner to sweep the 1,500 and 3,000 middle distance women’s races since 2020.”
they should be disqualified for having more than one individual in the race.
How can you be trans AND nonbinary? These goofballs are just making s**t up as they go. You’re transitioning to...neither?
CC
Indeed. I don't even know what this means.
“Article doesn’t seem to mention if it was a men’s race or women’s race...seems like a strange omission.”
from the article
“They also became the first runner to sweep the 1,500 and 3,000 middle distance women’s races since 2020.”
“Can’t wait till Trump slams the door on this bs...”
She, assigned female at birth, is competing against females.
“Assigned” female at birth, and decided to be a man instead. And yet for some reason, isn’t competing in men’s sports.
So a man beat a bunch of women, what a loser.
I’m pretty sure trans means you no longer identify as what your birth-junk made you.
