Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi completely dismantled Democrat Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) after his thinly veiled insinuation that she would “weaponize the Department of Justice.”

As TGP’s Jordan Conradson reported, Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi is facing questions from Senators this morning during a confirmation hearing for the U.S. Attorney General.

Bondi, the former Florida Attorney General, was nominated after Rep. Matt Gaetz withdrew his name as Trump’s pick for AG.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Trump Department of Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegseth’s first confirmation hearing was held yesterday, and he passed the test with flying colors. Now, Bondi is shining as well.

After thoroughly humiliating Dick Durbin when he tried to embarrass her with a question regarding the 2020 election, Rhode Island Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) then stepped in it when he tried to imply she would weaponize the Department of Justice on behalf of President Trump. Of course, Biden’s DOJ is the one that has not made the weaponization of government against MAGA nation a prime priority.

Trump, on the other hand, has vowed to ensure equal justice for all Americans.

Knowing this, Bondi masterfully turned the tables on Whitehouse. She pointed out how Trump was victimized for the past four years, including targeting his presidential campaigns.

Moreover, they launched numerous bogus investigations against Trump and sought to throw him in prison for bogus crimes just for having the audacity to run in 2024.

SHELDON WHITEHOUSE: And it would not be appropriate for a prosecutor to start with a name and look for a crime. It’s a prosecutor’s job to start with a crime and look for a name. Correct?

BONDI: Senator, I think that is the whole problem with the weaponization that we have seen the last four years and what’s been happening to Donald Trump. They targeted Donald Trump. They went after him, actually, starting back in 2016. They targeted his campaign.

They have launched countless investigations against him. That will not be the case if I am attorney general. I will not politicize that office. I will not target people simply because of their political affiliation. Justice will be administered evenhandedly throughout this country.

It’s safe to say this was not a fair fight.

There are entirely too many people on our side who are wanting to do what the Left called “speaking truth to power” at their first opportunities. They don’t seem able to grasp what some on the Left have - that doing that *before* you get power yourself means *you lose* and are at best ignored by said power and at worst get eaten instead.

This is one reason why the GOP is sometimes called The Stupid Party. Our version of people virtue signaling, I suppose.

Perhaps. But I think you mean tactically, not strategically. In terms of a tactic, Bondi's response was the correct one if the only goal is to get her approved as AG. But as part of a greater strategy to completely discredit the Left and to make them politically impotent over the long haul, my answer was a better one. ;-)

Perhaps not. But she would have created a social media sensation, garnered millions of followers, used her failure to be confirmed as a platform to continue to attack the ultra-corrupt Left, then won political office in 2026 or 2028, all the while helping to expose political corruption and the deep state and moving more people to our side.

What is better - to discredit the Left through speech and not being able to present proof plus not getting into office, or to get into office and then discredit the Left through conviction after conviction backed by legal proof?
