Trump's 2024 resurgence marks a dramatic shift from his 2016 vilification, fueled by Biden's unpopularity, a longing for normalcy, and Trump's endurance through relentless opposition.
In the weeks before the 2016 Trump Electoral College victory, Trump was polling between 35 and 40 percent.
He would average only about 41 percent approval over his tumultuous four-year tenure.
No one knows what lies ahead over the next four years. But for now, Trump already polls at well over 50 percent approval.
Trump’s inauguration in a few weeks likely will not resemble his 2016 ceremony.

What followed the collusion ruse was a consistent effort to undermine the Trump presidency—two subsequent impeachments, the laptop “disinformation” hoax, the COVID-19 nationwide lockdown, and news suppression of any mention of the Chinese lab origin of the virus or questioning the closing of schools.
In the Trump administration’s last summer of 2020, 120 days of riot, arson, looting, assault, and murder followed, with the denouement of the January 6 turmoil.

Remember that in 2016 the left screamed “Logan Act” if a Trump transition appointee even talked with foreign officials.
So why is newly elected Trump a veritable cultural hero in 2024 in a fashion unimaginable eight years ago when the media had rendered him a near demon?
One, Trump is now seen as a welcome relief. A departing and unpopular Joe Biden will leave with about a 36 percent approval rating.

A lot of people, particularly young men, are seeing through “woke socialist” ideology as dangerous and crazy — it’s partly as people age, they are more distant from brainwashing of schools, and more familiar with reality ... and men in particular because they get nothing from woke socialism except blame for things they didn’t do.
It was similar in 1977 to 1980 as young men aged away from the false narratives of the 60s and early 70s (and an incompetent Democrat president was in power). And it led to Reagan and “morning in America.” I don’t know if this time will be as good, let’s hope so.
Trump’s timing in re-taking the WH in 2024 was unreal. He literally became likeable to a new group of voters in the last weeks of his last campaign. It’s a hail Mary for the ages.
What was so different.? He also won in 2020, but they cheated. Enough of their cheating was thwarted this time.

Actually, there’s a term for that. It’s called “Universal Voting”. If we could somehow go back to the voting system that our Founders had, I doubt we’d have any of these problems and threats to the country, as we have today.
One of the things that was different was that this year the middle class and working class had clear memories of the $2 a gallon milk and $2 a gallon gas of January 2021.
Lot less mean tweets.
Lot fewer insults of RINO’s.
$ years of Bidenflation.
The election was decided on October 7th, 2023 when Hamas brutally attacked Israel and the Democrat Progressive Left got into opposing Israel’s response.
That drove important people towards Trump explicitly and implicitly.
Influenced folks like Elon Musk IMHO.
Improved John Fetterman’s mental acuity quite a bit as well.
Looking at the totals...from 2016 2020 and 2024. I agree...the cheating was rampant and selective.
They gave suffrage to women, and we’ve all been “suffraging” ever since.
Actually anyone who doesn’t have skin in the game but can still vote is a problem, because they vote their entitlements.
He also failed to mention the effects of individuals and organizations that this time around helped Trump, such as Charlie Kirk and his Turning Point America, Vivek, Ben Shapiro, and so on...
And of course, his excellent running mate, JD Vance.
