U.S. President-elect Donald Trump said on Sunday he will rename Denali, Alaska natives' name for North America's tallest mountain, after William McKinley, the 25th U.S. president who was assassinated in 1901.
Democratic former President Barack Obama in 2015 officially renamed the mountain as Denali, siding with the state of Alaska and ending a decades-long naming battle. The peak had been officially called Mount McKinley since 1917.

Can he get rid of Harry Reid Airport while he is at it?
Good idea.
Trump is one of the few people who can fully relate to William McKinley.
Nothing should be named after a politician.
Don’t forget to rename all those military bases back to their originals...
Eradicate all vestiges of 12-years of the American Communist Party’s control...
GREAT!
Obama tried to change America’s traditions and memories but OBAMA LOST!!!!
Allowing the Culture Clubbers to change the name was BS anyway, IMHO. If the eskimos want to call it Denali, let them do it. Americans who are familiar and care for American history will call it Mount McKinley.
“Eradicate all vestiges of 12-years of the American Communist Party’s control...”
That’s not gonna be possible. But it sure as hell would be fun trying.
Why?
Rename it Mountain Leslie West. Why not?
how about a hyphen name ?
Lived in the state of Alaska for 4 years. Alaskans call the mountain Denali… that won’t change no matter what Trump does.
And rename ...
Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport to...
Huckabee Field!
Exactly.
Just do what all the college teams do when they use different names for the stadium and the field.
Mount McKinley and Denali Peak.
A fight over an insignificant thing.
McKinley, who served two terms as governor of Ohio before becoming president in 1897, led the country to victory in the Spanish-American War and raised protective tariffs to promote U.S. industry, according to the White House website on presidents.
I suspect this is just the start..................
Erasing a country’s history and culture is necessary before a new culture can be installed.
That’s precisely what Obama and his evil minions were up to when renaming everything, including military bases, which as a veteran I’m deeply, deeply offended by.
America’s extraordinary history belongs to the American people, not to outsiders or communist agitators to play with like a child’s toy.
Virtually EVERYTHING Obama did must be undone, and hopefully renaming the Alaskan mountain back to Mount McKinley is only the beginning.
And by the way, as a proud American, I absolutely DO NOT ACCEPT Obama’s Apology Tour around the world.
You weren’t apologizing for We The People, Obama. You’re not worthy of citizenship, which is still in doubt. Don’t think we’ve forgotten that, either.
Trolling
