California Gov. Gavin Newsom and “First Partner” Jennifer Siebel Newsom are being mocked for a tone-deaf Thanksgiving message that name-checked indigenous Californians and illegal aliens but largely ignored everyone else.
“Thanksgiving is an opportunity to especially celebrate the native peoples of this lad and reflect on their perseverance and endurance,” Mrs. Nesom said.
“We’re grateful for all that you do and all that you are,” the governor chimed in.

I really dislike the term “Native Americans”. It implies American Indians are the only native Americans where in fact any US citizen born here is a native American.
Canada has it right, they call them First Peoples. Australia has it right, they call them aborigines.
Indigenous is another one that could be used.
The left created the Native American thing as one of their many political correctness games.
Something Newsom doesn’t get here, “non natives” pay a LOT of taxes, the Rez is given carte blanche. They’re GIVEN, entitled and spoon fed glittering love but in reality there’s more drug OD’s, more despair and more domestic violence than anywhere else. A model of healthy living? No.
