Just 24 hours after Hollywood Trump Derangement Syndrome sufferer Rob Reiner broke his silence about President-Elect Donald Trump’s election win, the actor checked himself into a “facility” to get some “peace and relaxation.”
Those TDS symptoms must be getting hard to manage.
On Wednesday, Reiner wrote on X:
“Now that America has elected a Convicted Felon with Authoritarian proclivities, I fear that Democracy’s return won’t be any time soon. The long-term solutions are daunting. Democrats need to re adopt the 50 state strategy. And most importantly, a competitive information distribution system must be built to combat the massive disinformation currently being fed to the American people.”
Reiner must have been gripped by a major TDS episode when he wrote the tweet, as it was only 24 hours before he announced he was checking into a facility.
This is what Reiner wrote on Bluesky:
“I have made the decision to take the next few days to check into a facility for peace and relaxation.’
“No phones, social media , no trolls, just calmness to heal my pain.”
The 77-year-old director accused “MAGA scum” of coming over to the BlueSky platform to ruin ing it after leaving Elon Musk’s X.
“This platform is vile, racist and evil,” Reiner wrote.
“It did not take long for MAGA scum to come spread their lies.”
“Anyone continuing to post hate towards me here will be blocked,” he posted on the platform on Saturday.
“I escaped the other place for a more peaceful time.”
“I’m finding it very hard to sleep these days. It is 3:15 am,” he posted later.
“I am laying awake dreading January 20th 2025.”
Reiner’s situation worsened on Sunday after he announced, “I have big decisions to make. For the good of myself, my family, and my country.”
