Most of those millions of people slept right through it.
I suppose it’s a good thing FR is west coast. Well sort of. :)
Business customers with the money pay for diverse connectivity and locate the network demarcs in different places.
Wasn’t uncommon for my customers to use the local ‘phone company’ for fiber, plus a ‘cable’ company ISP and a tertiary cellular router(s).
Someone didn’t get the memo!
This was more than likely PLANNED for Election Day Vote Stealing in PA! ;)
MAGA! :)
Don’t have to worry about it. Verizon sucks.
I hate Verizon but I’m on a family package through my daughter and the family outvoted me on resigning for a new 3 year deal. I did get a free iPhone 16 and iPad gen 10 out of the deal though, so that’s pretty cool.
I believe it is deliberately done by Verizon. They want you to switch to 5G.
I had connection issues a couple of months ago. Every few minutes I was losing connection. While on the phone with them to solve my issues and reset my password on the computer, not once did I lose connection, and that call lasted a good 45 minutes or more as I spoke to different techs.
I even told them that I think they are zapping my connection to get me to upgrade to 5G. They just laughed.
As I waited for the 5G box to arrive, I had no more internet issues. Go figure.
I’m going to look into Starlink and see if that would work better for me now that I feel like I’ve been hoodwinked.
Here in northern Virginia, we lost internet @ 1am and it was back this morning. The first thing I thought of was some kind of interference from one of the hundred data centers that have been built around here.
I was up @ 3:15 in Spotsylvania and had FIOS. Later that morning saw a note from the night before ‘Internet is down’ Now I know how late the night owl stays up.
