Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator Deanne Criswell told reporters Wednesday that FEMA has enough money to address Hurricanes Helene and Milton, after Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas said the agency “does not have the funds” to make it through hurricane season.
“I have funding and sufficient resources to support the ongoing responses to Hurricane Helene as well as Hurricane Milton,” Criswell said Wednesday, according to the Hill.
The remarks come after Mayorkas told reporters on October 2, just days after the southeast was devastated by Hurricane Helene, that FEMA would not have enough funding to make it through hurricane season, prompting widespread anger and criticism from Republicans.

The fact that Mayorkas still has a job is more confirmation that he is just a puppet of the Deep State.
Oh what do you know they have the funds now. Miraculous.
I'm not sure it's much comfort that FEMA does have money, it's just not for American citizens.
Yes wonder what department will get it’s funds raped so they can come up with the money?.
Initiate CYA...
Mayorkas is saving it all for his beloved illegal aliens. He needs to be fired, but, 1) Biden almost never fires anyone, and 2) it’s too close to the election; might make them look bad...as if!
Got em now?
Problem is you won’t spend them.
Americans died because of your shopping spree Mayorcass.
How many years did they waste money on Illegals ?
Congress just gave them $20 billion before they left. They’ll be back Nov 12th.
FEMA may have funds, but the victims aren’t going to see any of them. Bonuses, illegals, DEI Forums in Europe, etc.
Some one told me that CIA is not able to meet payroll
I agree.
And the deep state is in league with hell itself.
Time to bring back a word that’s fallen out of use.. misappropriation.
FEMA has already spent nearly 50% of what Congress approved for disaster recovery, and the hurricane season is just getting rolling.
That’s not a FEMA problem. It’s an appropriations problem.
Thanks!!!
