Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz stunned watchers of Tuesday night’s vice presidential debate as he nervously fidgeted, frowned and even called himself a “knucklehead” — while his Republican counterpart, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, gave a steady and lawyerly presentation and was widely seen as the victor.

The Democrat stumbled again, in what will be the most replayed moment of the debate, when he was asked about fresh reporting that he lied about having been in Hong Kong during the Tiananmen Square massacre in the spring of 1989.
“Look, I will be the first to tell you I have poured my heart into my community,” Walz said in a rambling initial response. “I’ve tried to do the best I can, but I’ve not been perfect, and I’m a knucklehead at times, but it’s always been about that those same people elected me to Congress for 12 years.”

Exactly everything these people do is calculated strategy. Go humble and vulnerable to appeal to the women.

…agree 100%. What other choice did Tamp Tim have? They can lie and say he mopped the floor with JD. But that is waaay off base.
He was not prepared for the moderator’s question. Undoubtedly somewhere along the way he’d been assured that it wouldn’t be posed. He stumbled and BS’d for a minute, blurted knucklehead then meekly uttered the words “mis spoke.”
His mistake was in thinking that he could debate on lies about Trump and his record. However, he was debating Vance and he forgot. A deadly mistake.

Instead, Timmy PROVED himself a liar, as everyone could read between the lines!
Everyone may know this question got all kinds of attention behind the scenes in preparation for the debate and this is the best posing the Dem handlers could come up with.

You know, I’ve been trying to figure out how there can be any undecided voters before yesterday, and it came to me that there may be some who don’t particularly like Harris/Walz but don’t much like Trump’s demeanor either.
This debate showed that Vance is a way better VP choice than Walz is, and that if Donald Trump is “too old” for some, at least they can rest assured that Vance will be ready if something does happen to Trump.
He’s prepared. Not just for a debate, but for whatever comes his way. Kinda like a Boy Scout. Or a Marine.
Women like strong, prepared men, too. Men like Vance.
