Part of what the dock workers are demanding is NO AUTOMATION.

If you look at Chinese ship loading docks where these huge cargo ships are coming from, you see very few people because they are practically full automatic, computer controlled.

That could easily be implemented here. They would lose more than half their workers to machines.................

That industry, like auto production, like hamburger making, is ripe for automation.

Could this be the issue that forces Harris to try out the 25th Amendment?

If Joe retires early and Harris becomes president, I think she gets a bump. But if they squeeze him out because this strike causes an inflation spike, she'll look like a real witch.

Nice to see the Democrats place themselves between a rock and a hard place.

Seems to be a lot of issues with transportation all the sudden.

Flooded roads, washed out bridges, shut down seaports, slashed tires in truck stops.

Where's the Booty Judge?

This is the October surprise that Hillary was ranting about. She didn’t expect it to be self-inflicted.

Schumer will tell Biden to use "Taft-Hartley". It's good for 80 days...that will be well after the election which is 36 days out. (I think he has to wait 5 or 6 days to get the 80 days to Christmas.)

Schumer rules NYS....Hochul is his puppet.

Using Taft-Hartley will deem "Biden and the Dems" as saviors.

It's been used about 35 times before so it's hardly unusual.

When asked about the Israeli strike on the Houdithi port bombing, Biden said he supported the collective bargining concept.

The port strike is a Labor pressure relief valve. After a decent interval Biden will intervene.

Of course he won’t. That might help the citizens of the country. Now if it would help the 10m illegals he let in, that’s different. He would be all over that.

This may be the time to invest in some more “survival gear,” if you will.

How can this be beneficial for the Dems?

Beneficial in what way? You're not presupposing a fair election are you?

From Yahoo News about ILA president Harold Daggett:

“ The Justice Department, which has reportedly lost two cases against Mr Daggett, has accused him of being an “associate” of the Genovese crime family — one of the infamous “Five Families” of the US Mafia.

Charged with racketeering in 2005, Mr Daggett, took the witness stand and portrayed himself as a mob target, despite evidence against him from a turncoat Mafia enforcer saying he was under the mob’s control, the New York Times reported.

During that trial, one of Mr Daggett’s co-defendants, a renowned mobster named Lawrence Ricci, disappeared. His decomposing body was found in the trunk of a car outside a New Jersey diner several weeks later, with the killing still unsolved.

Despite his union serving as a historic symbol of the grip of organised crime on union members, as depicted in the 1954 film “On the Waterfront”, Mr Daggett was acquitted in both cases.

The union leader has previously criticised the Waterfront Commission, set up to combat Mafia control of the port, calling the allegations of mob influence “total bulls-—”, and a “dark, ugly attack on Italian Americans”.”
