NPR host Maria Hinojosa said on this week’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “The Sunday Show” that Latinos who support former President Donald Trump “want to be white.”
Host Jonathan Capehart said, “This is from this Telemundo poll, that shows a shrinking majority of Latino voters in favor of the Democratic candidate.”
He asked, “Vice President Harris at 54%, she has a 14 point lead but it has been shrinking after each consecutive presidential election from 2016. Why is that? Why is the Democratic share of the Latino vote shrinking?”
Hinojosa said, “What I said to you when we asked the question was, Latinos want to be white. They want to be with the cool kids.”

Better they want to be white by voting for Trump than to want to be idiots by voting for Harris.
Tis true. As much of SA was colonized by white Europeans, either co-existing or mixing with the indigenous SA native tribes. Many people can claim the Latino title and I guess its ‘popular’ to do so, much like Liz Warren can claim to be native American Indian.
I, on the other hand, am as Anglo-European decent as they can come. So I dont have to want to be white. I am already.

Race is a social construct that is far more political than physiological. The Irish and Italians were once considered to be part of a "lesser race". The only thing they needed to do to enter the "evil white race" was vote against the Left. Once the Asians start voting against socialism, don't be surprised when they start getting called "white" too.

“Hispanic” is not very meaningful as a classification.
You have those who are 100% white, 100% indigenous, most are some mix, plus you have Brazilians who have a heavy black component.
She says that like it’s a BAD thing.

This is the same delusion Biden suffered from when he said “If you aren’t voting for Biden, then you aIn’t black”.
Saying that cost him an Obama-load of black votes.
Or maybe they DON'T want their kids groomed into have their genitals mutilated. Or maybe they DON'T support killing babies about to born. Or maybe they DON'T want a justice system that's as thoroughly corrupt as where they came from. Or maybe....

People who listen to NPR want to be know as smart. They are ignorant, because they only get leftwing news.

Depends on which database you are working with.
Lots of Agencies mix the two.
Include things like “Mexican”, “Puerto Rican”, “Latinx” under RACE. don’t forget “DACA” and “Non Resident Alien” under the single “Race/Ethnicity” field.
Many have just 2 ethnicities: Hispanic, or Not Hispanic, and
5 Races.
Even though most are forbidden from using that data in decision making, they collect it at the start. Making for some wonky permission structures about who can see what data, and who can modify what fields.
Not that there is anything wrong with that;-)
Some are brown, very brown. Some are darker than some blacks. Some are white and blond with blue eyes. Mexicans are not all one heritage or race, or color just because they are in mexico. There are over 7,000 language dialects as well.
And if some people want to be white, what’s wrong with that? We see some blacks with dyed blond hair and whites with dark tans.

That's literally the ridiculous explanation they are giving.
It can't be that like my family, they're proud to be US citizens, proud to serve in its military and see their interests aligned with the white working class and not perverted, lesbian "Latinx" commentators on NPR.
“Hispanic” was invented as a class to make it easier for the fascists to pander. In Central and South America people tend to marry people of the same racial archetype. Growing up in L.A. most Mexicans I met were part Indian yet the ruling class of Mexico is virtually entirely white European.
There is one thing to always remember about relationships with Hispanic women. You have no doubt when they are angry with you. No doubt at all. None of this “fine” nonsense.
Hinojosa isn’t even aware of what Latinos/Hispanics are.
They are multi-racial and multi-religions and multi-ethnic, meaning that many of them are already ‘white’.
Hinojosa doesn’t even know what the heck she is, but one thing for sure is that, she’s an idiot for supporting someone like QueMala.
