Similar tactic to how the feds indicted the son of the first Trump shooter for porn on an SD Card (seriously, an SD Card). So Trump shooter #1 knows to keep quiet.

In this case the feds have his phone hostage. If he keeps quiet (meaning no longer talking about NYC’s immigrant invasion) - then the feds won’t unlock his phone - otherwise, they’ll unlock it, after all, they do have the tools (obviously).
