Shock: Consumer Confidence Unexpectedly Plummets, Worst Decline in Three Years
Breitbart ^ | 09/24/2024 | John Carney

Consumer confidence in September suffered the worst decline in more than three years, dragged down by a weaker labor market and rising pessimism about future business conditions and incomes.

The Conference Board on Tuesday said its index of U.S. consumer confidence fell to 98.7 in January from 105.6, near the lowest of the range for the index over the past two years. Economists had expected a slight decline to 103 from the preliminary estimate of 103.3 for August.

Increasingly pessimistic expectations for the economy’s performance in the months ahead and a weaker labor market drove September’s confidence decline.

A quart of plain yogurt is over $5. Butter close behind. Plums and apples almost $3/pound. Cod is $18/lb., shrimp $12/lb. This is obscene.

I couldn't be more ... joyful.

I have endured 99% bad news for so long in politics that this is finally something good.

As with most past elections from Hoover and GHW Bush to now, uninvolved and uninformed voters tend to drift along with how the economy looks as they vote.

I wanted a stock market crash, not record highs of exuberance.
And worsening unemployment, inflation and economy in general-——or else the slack jawed, great unwashed American people will say “Let’s give that gal Kamala a chance. She looked good on those TV ads.”

And the DRASTIC reductions and unexpected “ON SALE NOW” events are showing up in multiple areas. Businesses with stuff to sell are getting pinched hard and need cash flow lest they get sucked down the drain of insolvency.

And Kommiela keeps bragging about how wonderful Bidenomics is.

Remember this saying, "It's the economy, stupid"?

Not so bad. Her constituents are too stupid to understand the connection between RAT policies and the economy. They’ll vote RAT regardless.

Could knowledge and anticipation of the looming ILA strike be more widespread than we might have supposed?

I was hoping that gas prices would continue to rise right up through October. Instead we are draining our strategic oil reserve. With the current state of the military I suppose that is not such a big deal.

But but but CNN says comrade Harris is tie with President Trump and some other genius says the rodents will win the House and GOP the Senate.
Trump will win big enough to carry the House with Senate taking care of itself.
This is. Winner take all election and things like Consumer confidence numbers show voters get that.

Out of control inflation meets a job market in freefall (at least for Americans), something hidden by at least two years of magical job numbers from the Bureau of Lying Statistics.

‘ban AR and AK weapons’
‘ban all coal mining’
‘ban fracking’
‘tax unrealized gains on assets’ and MORE! So that she can give more money to illegal third world slags.

For the past 2 years we buy **NOTHING** unless it’s absolutely needed.

I simply refuse to pay rip-off BS inflated prices...I’ll leave it on the shelf with a smile.☺
