After serving with Kerry — who the Current described as Burrell’s friend — the Yale-educated businessman went on to be the CEO of Rosemont Realty until 2013, a firm tied up with claims involving President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden. According to the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, the funds weren’t connected with Hunter.

Does Lurch still keep his yacht in Rhode Island to avoid Massachusetts taxes?
Better call the big guy for help.
If you can’t avoid being arrested and going into county lock-up, Nantucket is probably the place to do it.

A real estate company with ties to first son Hunter Biden received more than $100 million from a Russian billionaire for property investments across the US that date back a decade, sources have told The Post.
The hefty cash injections into Rosemont Realty came from Elena Baturina — one of Russia’s wealthiest women, the widow of the former mayor of Moscow, and a close ally of Moscow tyrant Vladimir Putin, the sources said.
In one portfolio deal, Baturina paid at least $40 million to Rosemont to invest in office buildings across the country, according to a source with knowledge of the transactions.

This isn’t the first time President Biden’s 52-year-old son has been linked to Baturina, whose late husband Yuri Luzhkov was mayor of Russia’s capital for more than 18 years before being dismissed by then-President Dmitry Medvedev in 2010....

House Republicans are probing whether the Department of Justice retaliated against one of their impeachment witnesses — a former business associate of Hunter Biden who revealed a 2014 conversation then-Vice President Biden had with his son and the former mayor of Moscow.
Jason Galanis, who is currently serving a 14-year federal prison sentence for defrauding an American Indian tribe, disclosed a May 4, 2014, speaker phone conversation between Hunter and Joe Biden and Russian oligarch Yelena Baturina and her husband, the ex-Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov.
Galanis was interviewed last month from his prison cell in Montgomery, Ala., and during his stay, he alleged he had been a “victim of a pattern of retribution by the Department of Justice” to hinder congressional investigators....
“”Hunter Biden received a $3.5 million wire transfer from Elena Baturina, the wife of the former mayor of Moscow,” the Republican report, which was the result of an investigation led by GOP Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, explained as one of its “key findings.”
Baturina, a billionaire, was previously married to Yuri Luzhkov, who served as mayor of Moscow but was fired for alleged corruption in 2010. The report details how Biden’s business received a $3.5 million payment from Baturina in February 2014, which was described to be for “consultancy” work. In 2015, Biden also received several payments of several hundred thousand dollars from Baturina, several of which were listed as part of a “loan agreement.”
IMO September is the best time of year on Nantucket. It’s usually booked up way in advance due to all the weddings. The air and water being near the same temperature makes for calm, sunny days and pleasant nights, about ~68 degrees. Phenomenal sunsets over Madaket and beautiful sunrises over the harbor. Plus the blues and stripers start their fall runs. Later in the month the eels do their migration into the great ponds.

Taos News: Former Taos Valley Ranch owner arrested
Former Taos Valley Ranch owner Dan Burrell was arrested in Nantucket, Massachusetts on Friday, according to the Nantucket County Sheriff's Office.
"He was released on bail on Saturday," a member of the sheriff's office told the Taos News in a brief phone call Monday (Sept. 23).
According to reporting in the Nantucket Current, Burrell was arrested on a Las Vegas, Nevada warrant issued after Burrell is alleged to have written a bad check to a casino for $1.5 million. He was arrested and charged with being a fugitive from justice the day after his luxury home on Nantucket Island was sold for $12.5 million at a foreclosure auction. Burrell reportedly paid his $10,000 bail with a check and was told to present himself to the court in Las Vegas rather than face extradition.
