Asked ‘Why should I vote for Donald Trump?’ Meta AI offers ‘some perspectives to consider.’ When asked the same question about Harris, the chatbot offers ‘some compelling reasons’ to vote for the Democrat.
Meta’s AI tool is the latest chatbot to run interference for Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris, returning reasons not to vote for former President Donald Trump when asked to provide reasons to vote for him.
Asked “Why should I vote for Donald Trump?” Meta AI offers “some perspectives to consider.” Notably, when asked the same question about Harris, the chatbot offers “some compelling reasons” to vote for the Democrat.
In its answer about Trump, Meta AI notes Americans’ broad support for Trump’s economic and immigration policies, two topics that voters regularly tell pollsters are most important to them. It also lists his “populist” tendencies, his “fight against progressive ideology,” and his “departure from traditional Wilsonian internationalism,” all approaches that are popular among many Americans but for which Trump is routinely dragged by the Washington press.
The chatbot doesn’t stop there. “It’s also important to consider the following,” it cautions, before rattling off warnings about “Voting Rights Concerns,” “Character Concerns,” and a “Lack of Support from Voters of Color.”
“Trump’s administration has been criticized for potentially undermining voting rights and promoting voter suppression,” the answer continues, citing the far-left ACLU.
“Some view Trump as ‘boorish and selfish’ and ‘crude and lazy.'”
If you look very closely, you might detect a different tone in the answer to the same question about Kamala Harris. According to Meta AI, Harris is a “Voting Rights Advocate,” a “Trailblazer,” and a “Pro-Choice Advocate” who is “Inspiring Young Voters” thanks to her “Leadership Qualities” and “Policy Focus.”
She is “committed to protecting democracy,” we’re told.
You might think a poll showing that only 36 percent — barely more than a third — of registered voters have “confidence in her ability to carry out the job of president” indicates that she isn’t viewed as very competent. But that’s where you’re wrong, Meta AI insists. In fact, the chatbot says, such a poll reflects a perception among Americans that Harris has “strong leadership qualities.”
What’s more, the answer continues, one reason to vote for Harris as president of the United States is that she’s “the first woman, Black American, and South Asian American Vice President,” and her “breaking barriers inspires home and representation for underrepresented communities.”
As a courtesy, in its list of “sources” for its answer, Meta AI directs the curious voter to the flattering biography of Harris on her official White House page.
Meta AI concludes its response about Trump with a suggestion that you keep “weighing these perspectives and exploring more information to make an informed decision.” It shows considerably less restraint in its conclusion about Harris, assuring you “These are just a few reasons why you might consider voting for Kamala Harris” and prompting you to agree to view “more information on her platform and policies.”
Just earlier this month, Amazon’s Alexa was exposed refusing to answer the question “Why should I vote for Donald Trump?” while offering positive answers to the same question about Kamala Harris. Depending on which model customers owned, responses praised Harris as a “strong candidate with a proven track record of accomplishment,” a “female of color with a comprehensive plan to address racial injustice and inequality,” a “woman of color who has overcome numerous obstacles to become a leader in her field,” and “a highly qualified candidate with a record of accomplishments.”
After getting caught, Amazon insisted the disparity was an “error.”

And every time a “conservative” open the Farcebook app they give Zuckercuck more money to fight with... Thank you for that, but I guess it is more important to see pictures and sh_t and talk to “faux friends” you don’t physically know.

I’ll be voting for Donald Trump anyways, Meta AI doesn’t have to convince me.

As I was told earlier in another thread regarding today’s terminology, to “get with the program or get lost” - paraphrasing, of course.
If THIS thread is a sample of what this country is accepting as the new norm, I would just as soon “get lost.”
Have people lost the ability to THINK as has always been required to survive in ANY civilization? It would appear not to be the case in the US...acceptance of any mumbo-jumbo that appears to be “the thing to say or do”??? No thanks.

AI is a farce..
They seek to create an “Oracle” that they hope people will refer to as an unbiased authority for all questions. A newfangled “fact checker” or a Grand Wizard that is actually a man behind the curtain spouting government propaganda.

I have been taking AI courses and it is all based off words and how they are used. Add computer programming into the mix then you get AI..So far I am not impressed with technology.

AI is just a name they put on a program that will do exactly what the programmers tell it to do like every other program out there. It is not AI. AI does not exist and probably never will.
Of course it repeats DNC talking points. THAT IS HOW THE PROGRAMERS DESIGNED IT.
Are people so dang stupid that this comes as a surprise to them?
Why the heck do we keep seeing articles breathlessly reporting the bleeding obvious?
And in further news... water is wet, do not look into the laser with your remaining eye and you will not believe what bears are doing in the woods.

Meta (Facebook/Instagram) AI has always been horrible. My wife has used it and forced it to apologize to her many times. They are so far behind the curve I don’t know why they try. Even Apple threw in the towel and will be licensing OpenAI (ChatGPT people). Musk is building Grok but admits he is far from the lead.

Isn’t Meta owned by Zuckerberg, who called President Trump saying he couldn’t vote for a RAT this time around?
