The Atlantic just made history for an unexpected distinction: The longest stretch without a single late-summer cyclone. It has meteorologists concerned delicate public trust is at risk.

Global climate change is causing fewer hurricanes than predicted. It’s a crisis which requires more funding.

Interesting that they’re concerned about “keeping the public trust” more than about making accurate, honest predictions.

The meteorologists failed to account for the increase in the number of people eating mealworms, crickets and cockroaches.
It looks like they saved our bacon!

Lack of huricanes falls into the NEITHER part of the climate change propaganda flow chart.
Is it bad?
Blame it on “climate change”
Is it good?
Say it’s threatened to go away because of “climate change”
Is it neither?
Say nothing and find something else to lie about.

What are you talking about? It IS an historic hurricane season; and unique! It is the first hurricane season in 2024!

CLIMATE CHANGE!
Them’s the rules. If things are WORSE than normal, climate change. If things are BETTER than normal, climate change. It’s the perfect hustle for them.

What happened to predictions of a ‘historic’ hurricane season? As ALWAYS... weather is UNPREDICTABLE for the most part.

I treat the weather channel as comic relief.
Sometimes I wonder how they say the things they do with a straight face.
It’s turned into almost 100% fear porn.

The really ironic part of this is (IIRC) someone a couple of decades back predicted that if there actually was any warming we would see less hurricanes and the ones that would show up would be milder.
So they might actually have some evidence of warming but be unable to use it because it does not arrive packaged as they predicted it would be.
If my recollection is correct they are going to be going crazy trying to decide whether to wind their watch or go blind.

Joe Bastardi is a great meteorologist and debunks the manmade climate change nonsense.
Anyway, he does a Saturday Summary for the upcoming weeks and has a pretty good record.
He really knows his stuff, and while he can get pretty technical sometimes, he explains stuff and why he forecasts what he does.
This link should take you to it. You can usually skip the first minute or so. He always starts with some music and quirky stuff.
