Instead, the Atlantic made history for an unexpected and confounding distinction: The longest stretch in more than half a century without a single late-summer cyclone, a time of year when several often churn at once. Though two months of storm risks still lie ahead, the astonishing lull has meteorologists wrestling with confusion and criticism, while striving to protect delicate public trust.

Well, it is historic in the sense that, the predictions havr turned out to be so very far off the mark.
But, there’s still hope for the predictions, since the season is not over yet. So, by November there could still be some 20 more hurricanes to fulfill the hopes of the predictors. Imagine that, 6-7 hurricanes per week. Ouch!

One thing for sure, watching the weather channel lately has been hilarious.......breathlessly gasping over this storm coming up from Mexico....they couldn’t wait to slap a name on it.

Well, we have one fixing to hit Louisiana in 48 hours and go up straight through the middle of the State. I just got back from Walmart loaded up with batteries and kerosene lamp oil in case the electricity goes out.

Well, it’s obvious ... climate change is much worse than they thought. It’s so bad that Sarahan dust clouds are bigger than ever recorded and are blocking the natural balance of the Atlantic Ocean and its abilities to churn out hurricanes.

I shared this story on Facebook and of course someone immediately said there is one forming now in the Atlantic. Looked it up and it’s true, supposed to hit Louisiana in a few days. I’ve been working on a vehicle today so I haven’t watched the news.
Figures…
