Russia pushes on key Ukraine city while Kyiv's Kursk incursion slows
BBC ^ | Aug 31, 2024

Russian forces are just a few kilometres from the Ukrainian city of Pokrovsk, a crucial logistics hub used by the Ukrainian military.

Home to a key railway station and major roads, Pokrovsk is an essential supply and reinforcement point for Ukraine’s troops on the eastern front line.

Critics in Kyiv fear that the country's military has made a serious miscalculation.

By sending troops into Kursk instead of reinforcing the eastern frontline, the military has left Pokrovsk and other important Ukrainian towns exposed, these critics say.

I’m just waiting patiently to see the waves of the brand new Ukrainian made “ballistic-missile-drone” to rain down on Moscow’s electrical production...
—————-
Any propaganda stunt the Ukies might manage to pull off will still have no effect on the outcome of the war. Hit and run on Belgorod, missile attacks on the Kerch bridge, a stalled and failed Kursk offensive, etc, etc will in no way stop Vlad from accomplishing his stated goals.

The five ethnic Russian provinces are just about wrapped up and no Nato for Ukraine. The third, liquidation of the Neo Nazi’s alittle more tricky, but it will can be done by a new Ukie Constitution at their surrender.

Just wait until Russian nuclear missiles rain down on your country then.

There is zero risk that Russia will respond with nuclear means. Because they know they have already countless of times (!) hit all the Ukrainian cities, including the capital of Ukraine Kiev with missiles and even supersonic missiles. Russia even use North Korean and Iranian missiles and drones to attack deep inside Ukraine. Right?

You see, in war there is reciprocity.
Putin is starting to reap the horror he has sowed.

When you invade and annex others peoples homes and lands, when you kill your neighbors without even having the guts to declare war beforehand... there is a price to pay.

Ukraine is just starting its response.

Justice.

For years and years it was Kiev. Suddenly two years ago it became Kyiv. This is probably so that search engines can’t find stuff from before 2 years ago. Stupid liberals love to look smart so they pronounce the names of Mexican people with Spanish inflections. Goan sa layss. Road ree gess. En chee lah dah. They called Moslems moslems for years and years and about 2008 they started saying Muslims. It was Pakistan for ever but in 2008 it was Pockeeston. Why do they still say Afghanistan when they should be saying Offgoneeston?

Yes. Ukraine paid the price for NATO's bombing and dismemberment of Serbia (along with other NATO offensive threats since then). A cheesy "victory" over Russia will result in someone else paying the price in 20 years or so. Some Chinese Russian alliance could be calling the shots by then.

MAP showing percentage of ethnic Russians in Ukraine by region :

https://qph.cf2.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-2eef317b67fccdd62becab0a91bad4cc-pjlq

As you can see there is a clear majority of Ukrainians living in all four regions around Donbas. Roughly 2 Ukrainians for one Russian.

Only Crimea has a slight majority of Ethnic Russians.

So tell me.... Again, why on earth are the Kremlin thieves stealing others peoples homes and lands?

Taking others stuff using the power of Kremlin’s Big Government is a typical Communist thing to do.

“”””I’m on record, 10/1. By 10/1 the fighting stops. Unconditional surrender, truce, armistice, the entire area turned to fused glass. One way or the other, the killing stops by 10/1.”””””

Morning or evening?

USA-FRANCE:
Ukraine has nothing to do with Serbia. Thus, Russia can’t use (and has not even uttered anything about that) historical events that happened in Serbia as an excuse for attacking Ukraine.

Secondly. Neither NATO or America have annexed anything in old Yugoslavian territories.

Over the course of just three years, communist Milosevic (a puppet to Russia) exacerbated ethno-nationalism to such a degree - that it all led to internal civil war!
Which in the end resulted into complete disintegration of Yugoslavia. To make things short in my explanation, at the end of the whole process... the successor states became these: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo. Whether we like it or not, all these became independent nations. If Milosevic had not started it all, Yugoslavia would still exist today. There would be no Kosovo, etc...

Blame Milosevic for the disintegration of Yugoslavia.

What I’m afraid of is that the general mismanagement in Russia and Kremlin’s costly war (paid by poor Russian citizens with blood and taxes), the near 10% inflation (rapidly growing), the ultra low wages, etc... could break up Russia into pieces - multiple countries - just as what happened to Yugoslavia after communist Milosevic decided to put it all on fire in his exacerbated ethnic-war.
If Russia breaks up, what happens to all the nuclear missiles? Kremlin would lose control of most of it.
Tough times ahead.

I assumed that sound judgement would cause the war to end after the failed counter-offensive of 2023. The last real chance Ukraine had to turn things around.

After that point, Ukraine is simply losing more over time and has no real chance to turn anything around. So it would make sense to end it in order to minimize the loss. If you can’t maximize wins, at least minimize the losses. But we kept this war going.

That said, not sure why he thinks 10/1 is the date?

That map is junk.

Created much later.

If you look at where Russian is the first language and how people vote, those numbers do not jive.

Use earlier pre-war maps. There are many maps floating out there today, most of them trying to low ball the Russian ethnic population. But the pre-war maps are still there and some of the languag as well as election maps as well.

Based on your past posts, I didn’t expect you you vet any information you throw out there. Any junk will do, as long as it appears to back your opinion.

Use older stuff, before Ukraine flooded the internet with how Crimea is nearly 1/2 Ukrainian, hahahaha.

What a joke, if the Russians are only a few kilometers away, then there are no roads and there are no railroads left. It has had no value since the Russians got to within 20 miles (artillery range). All would be totally demolished by now (by artillery). It’s a cratered moonscape. These headlines are nothing but hype.

I have already posted this map about two years ago.
It describes the situation in Ukraine in 2001. Right?
It seems fair. It even admits that there are more than 50% ethnic Russians in Crimea.

A very good map. No one is complaining about it.

Frankly I think Ukrainians are opposed to this fighting continuing and the loss of what military men they have left. But Zelenski will continue to try and get a NATO/Russia war at the cost of every man left.
