Well. I’m glad to have learned that.

While there is, of course, no enforceable rule about when to serve Red Velvet Cake, in my family it is primarily a Thanksgiving dessert or a Valentine’s Day dessert.

Maybe we’re just weird.

We have 5 and a half acres out here, so it wouldn’t surprise me!
We have coy dogs too (I HATE them!)
I’ll go double check, but I think there’s
a year round bounty on them!

I’m sorry if I sounded terse with my post about the
Lynx cat, please forgive me, okay?
Not having a great day...

You weren’t terse at all, just pointing out the lynx. I had no idea that Bobcats were a kind of lynx.

And some of the pictures they reminded me of Maine coons, with those cute Tufts on their ears.

I hope you’re not having a bad pain day

That one looks really pretty. I don’t remember red velvet being sour but it must be with sour cream or buttermilk, and that white vinegar. I bet i never had a real one, just a mix. Which always rise wonderfully, it’s a mystery.

Gorgeous!! Look at those HUGE paws!

I’ve been noticing lately that Sable has golden eyes. To go with her brown fur I guess. I didn’t realize till I started having kittens that their eye color usually goes along with their fur color, I got interested in eye color when they started changing at 8 weeks or so.

Golden eyes!
I bet she’s stunning!
Teegas are green.
Did you say that winters eyes are blue?
With her white coat, that would be striking!

I must have missed any discussion about the clothing/dress signals. It would be interesting to find out about them.

Here is Sable's golden eyes

She looks mad because Cadbury dared to be nearby, lol. Those stones are my animal cemetery. And Sable loves to hang out there.

4 cups of powdered sugar, 1 stick of butter, 1 pkg. cream cheese....and Audrey throws in a good splash of vanilla. She made a delicious cream cheese icing for the carrot cake we sent up north last month.

I had never heard of Red Velvet cake until a couple of years ago. I’ve never made one. Now that I know they get slathered with cream cheese icing, I just may try one!

Very pale blue, almost glacier blue. It got me worried before I realized she was a siamese, I thought she was albino. Apparently the flame points have super light eyes, while regular Siamese have a very bright blue typically. ImageImage uploader

Oh yes lots of vanilla. I’ve been having fun using Trader Joe’s vanilla bean paste. It’s really pretty on anything light, all those flecks. Looks great in cream cheese frosting.

I never heard of red velvet until recently, maybe it’s a southern thing.

Doesn’t that look so peaceful. I wonder if they sense they are near animals that have passed.....funny they like hanging out there.

So, all of these pics of giant kitties....this isn’t your Christmas wish list, is it?

Lol, that probably wouldn’t be a good idea, a pet that will eat all the other pets.
