Am I The Only One – Aaron Lewis
I guess my brain doesn’t work that way, I’m a come out and say it type than subtle messages, so I don’t know.
First, if anyone has a good easy recipe for red velvet cake I need it! My granddaughter wants one for her birthday Tuesday and thinks I can make it. I cook, but I’m not a baker.
Update on my dear DIL:
Thank you. Last night, I talked to my son and granddaughter and asked them if they told the doctor every single thing she had consumed lately, because some things, even OTC supplements, can have an adverse effect on a few people.
They found a bottle of something called “ashwagaganda” I’m probably not spelling it right, but it’s something he had ordered online that’s supposed to relax you. My granddaughter found it by my DIL desk and apparently she had taken it. It says don’t take if you have thyroid problems, which she has. It was late at night, but I told him he should call and leave message about it. The nurse told him that now they’re just trying to save her life instead of trying to figure out what caused this. But I guess the nurse got curious and did some research, told the doctor who also did, and they figured out the heart problem was caused by that mixing with medications.
THANK THE LORD! So her heart is working OK now, but she is still on life support as they are going to give her dialysis hoping to get her kidneys functioning.
So prayers still needed and appreciated!
The doc said liver can repair itself, even if they have to remove part of it.
The nurse that did research may have saved her life, hopefully, and more lives as a warning. I tell everyone do not take any of the cr×× online or even at the convenience store including energy drinks, they are not good!
I wasn’t aware of this - really? DJT and Melania send clothing messages? What kind of messages? Can you give me an example of one, Dolly? I’m curious now.
The only thing blue and yellow signals to me is flippin’ Ukraine and more money. Or taking guns from Canadians to send over there.
Ah yes, Audrey and I whipped those up today, along with an apple pie. This topping for the cheesecake is black cherry. I smush the cherries rather than leave them whole - I don’t like large cherries on top, even though they look nicer. It’s all about me, don’t you know lol.
Wow Judy! Is this what you and your granddaughter did?
Wow, Rusty. That’s such a terrible thing for an OTC natural product! I’m so glad they figured it out, and that her heart is working again. I hope her kidneys will kick in after they do the dialysis. My goodness. What a fright.
Sure is, Dolly. That kid loves baking, and she’s very good. She knows what she’s doing. If it had been up to me, I’d still be painting the leaves and berries tonight. She’s the one who zips around the kitchen getting all of the ingredients, measuring, whisking, etc. I sit and peel the apples while I watch to make sure everything goes into the correct bowl.
” Can you give me an example of one, Dolly? I’m curious now.”
The first one I remember is the p**** hat. Which I didn’t even know was a thing. Look how cute my dictation system is censoring me. Pussy hat
Didn’t she have a dress that had some material that when you zoomed in you could see ... something of interest.. I can’t remember what it was
I don’t know how natural the product is, I don’t advise anybody taking anything they can get online or even at a convenience store. But at least they caught it and hopefully may save some more lives.
Do you have a recipe for red velvet cake?
“Had anyone seen the fact addressed that President Trump was wearing a VERY blue suit and yellow tie at the Notre Dame ceremony?”
I was vaguly watching a couple of Fox Sunday morning programs and heard someone mention it but didn’t catch what they said about it.
In a search I found this:
“A yellow tie symbolizes positivity and a cheerful outlook. It is seen as approachable, trustworthy, and friendly, making it a bold choice that can help you stand out in social or professional settings.”
In another search on a FAR LEFT rag page, “reddit,” I found it mentioned by a poster who said this.

“He’s wearing his Proud Boys suit and tie at the Notre Dame opening.”
I think a red velvet cake is basically a milk chocolate cake with lots of red dye in it. You could use a cake mix, for me those usually turn out better than my own. And just a simple cream cheese frosting. One stick of butter, one box of cream cheese, and I can’t remember the amount of powdered sugar....
Ashwagandha Plant
While it does have some beneficial properties, it is of the Nightshade Family. (cue the dut-dut-duh music which foretells doom in movies)

No! No, it is not. I’m hunting up a recipe now. But, it is a special type of chocolate using baker’s chocolate in the powdered form, sour cream, and a bottle of liquid red food coloring. It is the baker’s chocolate and sour cream which gives it a special flavor.
And don’t forget, a cream cheese frosting is a must.
.
This recipe uses buttermilk instead of the sour cream I said earlier. Buttermilk is better.
Cake Layers
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 Tbsp. cocoa powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 cups buttermilk, at room temperature
1 Tbsp. white vinegar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 large eggs, at room temperature
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 Tbsp. red food coloring
Cream Cheese Frosting
2 (8-oz.) pkgs. cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, softened
10 cups powdered sugar
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease two 9-inch round baking pans and place a round piece of parchment paper cut to size in the bottom of each pan.
Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt in a large bowl. Sift, and set aside. In a small bowl, combine the buttermilk and vinegar. Set aside.
In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the eggs one at a time. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed. Mix in the vanilla extract and food coloring.
Beating on low, add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the buttermilk. Begin and end with the flour mixture. Scrape the sides of the bowl with a spatula as needed.
Divide the batter between the two prepared cake pans. Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 22 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool the cakes in the pan for 15 minutes. Transfer to wire racks to cool completely, about 1 hour.
Make the Cream Cheese Frosting (instructions below).
To assemble, place one cake layer on a cake stand. Spread cream cheese frosting on top. Top with the second cake layer, and frost the outer layer of the cake with a crumb coating. Place the cake in the fridge to chill for 30 minutes. Finish frosting the cake with an offset spatula with the remaining cream cheese frosting until covered. Serve immediately, or put back in the fridge until ready to serve.
Beat the softened cream cheese and butter together with a hand mixer or in the bowl of a stand mixer until creamy. With mixer on low, mix in half of the powdered sugar. Add the milk and vanilla extract, and then gradually mix in the remaining powdered sugar. Beat on low until smooth.
Here is what I found about baldness.
“While there’s a common misconception that baldness is primarily passed down from the mother’s side, the reality is that bald traits are inherited from genes contributed by both parents; meaning you can inherit the predisposition for baldness from either your mother or father.”
“Key points about baldness inheritance:
Both parents contribute genes:
The genes responsible for hair loss are present on multiple chromosomes and can be inherited from either parent, not just the mother.”
“X-chromosome link:
Some research suggests a stronger link to the X chromosome, which women inherit one copy from their father and one from their mother, potentially explaining why a mother’s family history might seem more prominent.”
“Complex genetics:
The exact mechanisms behind baldness are complex and involve multiple genes interacting with hormonal factors, making it difficult to pinpoint one source.”
Also, instead of a 9” pan, I use three 8”pans. For a red velvet cake, I prefer 3 layers.
Do not skimp on the frosting. This is not a time to be cheeseparing!
