CNN — Kamala Harris is officially the Democratic presidential nominee, but Donald Trump is continuing to describe the vice president’s elevation to the top of her party’s ticket as “unconstitutional” and accusing her of taking part in a “coup.”
No serious effort to challenge Harris’ status as the Democratic nominee is underway. But some of Trump’s critics warn that the former president could be laying the groundwork to question the outcome of the 2024 election if he loses a second time.
Democrats are set to gather next week in Chicago for a national convention at which they’ll rally around Harris as their new standard-bearer after President Joe Biden’s decision not to seek reelection.

In a conversation with X owner Elon Musk that was broadcast on the social media platform Monday night, Trump said Harris’ elevation was “a scam” and accused top Democrats of forcing Biden out of the 2024 race.
“This was a coup of a president of the United States. He didn’t want to leave, and they said, ‘We can do it the nice way, or we can do it the hard way,’” Trump claimed.
He also criticized Democrats in a news conference last week, stating that Harris taking over from Biden “seems to me, actually, unconstitutional. Perhaps it’s not.”

What’s wrong with questioning the outcome of a questionable election.
I know a lot of people that will be doing just that if kackling kamala wins.
At this juncture, the judicial precedent is well over a century old: insofar is America is concerned, the citizenship of your parents does not matter so much as whether you are born within the sovereign jurisdiction of America. Kamala was (by all accounts), and thus is an American citizen by birth.
Changing that at this juncture (namely, from jus soli to just sanguinus) would require a Constitutional amendment.
Trump is right, Kamala Harris is unconstitutional. She isn’t a natural-born Citizen, and the 14th Amendment doesn’t make her so. She got away with it as VP – Trump should not allow her to get away with it as the Commander-In-Chief.
Once nominated by the DNC, Trump would have the judicial standing to bring her constitutionality to court and seek a declaratory judgment. There would be no point in seeking injunctive relief. The only point at which eligibility can be effectively challenged will be at the point Congress counts the electoral votes. At that point, it will be up to the members of Congress to voluntarily comply with the Constitution.
With our borders being overrun by illegal aliens, many from adversarial countries it is past time for the courts to do their job and arrive at a singular definition of an Art. II, §1, Cl. 5 natural-born citizen, so Congress can do its job for the good of the Republic.
Hey. Look. At the end of the day, it is a new paradigm for the GOP, at the national level and in the states these days.
“If we win, it was fair. If we lose, it was rigged.”
These are all wholesome formulative American values we learned from Dad growing up in the 50s, 60s and 70s, and in Pop Warner Football and Little League and high school track, speech and debate.
I ask the Democrat scoundrels this:
If an election result has every appearance of being fraudulent, should the false result be contested?
Do the Dems expect cheating on their side? If they have followed the law, why to they fear scrutiny?
We all know the real answers.

Americans have been questioning elections for 230 years. Democrats sure contested 2016 with their 2 year mueller investigation. You can’t have a democracy if people can’t question elections.

He’s not “questioning” elections - he’s saying they were stolen.
Rat Party Headquarters got away with fraud in several states in 2020...and not a single court in the nation did anything about it.We can be sure that they’ll double their efforts this year. There is a very real chance that 2024 could also be a stolen election.
