Former White House adviser Kellyanne Conway joined the chorus of GOP strategists who want former President Donald Trump to change his tone on the campaign trail.
Conway told Fox Business anchor Larry Kudlow during an interview on Monday that her former boss needs to adapt his rhetoric to produce a “winning formula” against Vice President Kamala Harris.
“The winning formula for President Trump is very plain to see,” Conway proclaimed. “It’s fewer insults, more insights, and that policy contrast.”
The GOP strategist worked closely with Trump for three years before retiring from her role as counselor to the president in August 2020.
If President Trump would just contrast the policies, he’ll win!” Conway added. “Because he has a 2-to-1 advantage over Biden-Harris on the economy and inflation, on the border, on Israel and Hamas, on the key issues that are important to people.”

Conway isn’t the only GOP strategist worried that Trump’s stabs on Harris could detract from his presidential ambitions.
Republican pollster Frank Luntz is among others who have suggested Trump’s “persona” is hurting his campaign.
*** Conway was rumored to have had a fallout with Trump insiders after the former president picked Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) to be his running mate. Over a dozen MAGA insiders allegedly accused the former White House counselor of fueling negative press about Vance after the Ohio Republican was launched as Trump’s No. 2.
However, the ex-White House adviser planted herself firmly in the Trump camp during her interview with Kudlow. Deriding Harris for being “afraid” to speak to the media, Conway touted Trump’s 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and claimed the GOP leader had “the best opportunity” to win the 2024 presidential election.

Why am I not shocked?
Don’t tell the zeepers or they’ll be starting threads and posting around the clock about what a wonderful Republican she is.
She may be a Republican, but she certainly isn’t America First.
If you haven’t heard that from the Trump/Vance campaign every time there is a rally or interview, you haven’t been listening...
All political claptrap. All GOPe thinking that somehow can’t grasp that an Independent is not a voter somehow undecided between the two (now fringe) parties.
Independents embrace the Wall, Swamp Drainage and American Priority in ALL Things, which is usually a point about foreign matters.
Matters, not issues. There are no issues. There is only elitism rejection. There can be no other issues at $36T of debt.
LOL
There’s a lot of them buying the liberal narrative and trying to pass it off here as conservative ideas.
Steve Bannon was Campaign CEO in 2016, Conway worked under his direct supervision as a manager in Bannon’s organization. Bannon put him in office, not her.
The low info voters I talk to haven't been listening, they don't watch his rallies or interviews, they listen to what the left says on TV and they need to see TV ads.
Check betting markets in 2018, 2020, and 2022.

Yep. They’re so transparent they can be spotted from mile away.
I think a number of the doom and gloom types fall into the following:
1. A few are paid operatives meant to demoralize the MAGA base.
2. A few doomers are still sore about Ron DeSantis. So they jump on anything to poor cold water on Trump. Some even openly opine if replacing Trump with DeSantis at this hour is possible.
3. And the rest just can’t take a mean tweet.
I don’t believe the majority of these current polls due to internals. Yes, she has gotten a bump. Ok.
Instead, he should wrap the Biden record around her neck and force her to defend her dismal performance (inflation, open border, loss of energy independence, etc.). Her selection of Walz was a gift to Trump, and Vance is exploiting that effectively.
Many years ago, the GOP nominee for governor of Texas (Clayton Williams) had the election in the bag against the female Democrat nominee. For some reason, down the stretch he elected to hurl vile insults at her, refused to shake her hand and in the process stirred up the animosity of quite a few independent female voters. In the end, he lost a very winnable race to Ann Richards. I'd hate to see history repeat itself this time by Trump mimicking the same behavior.
Trump should take Kellyanne’s advice. It’s only smart politics if he does. A good politician can see this and yes, Trump is a politician.
“Kellyanne Conway is the only woman to ever manage a winning presidential campaign.”
Steve Bannon was the CEO of the Trump 2016 campaign. Conway was a manager working under him in that organization and executing HIS direction. She was not the force that got it done.
““Crappiness” is a matter of opinion. One woman’s crappiness is another woman’s boldness and truth.”
This!
Work on your husband, dear.
I thought Kellyanne divorced George Conway (a.k.a. low-life scumbag).
Too many here want to “reach across the aisle”. Those days are long over. They should walk over there where they really belong.
For years we’ve been begging the GOPe to grow a pair, we got Rommney, McCain, Bushes. Now there’s a man running who almost was assassinated by the DS, fighting for our country, fighting for us and he says “mean things”, sounds like “mean tweets”. The same spinless crowd telling us how we should behave when they’ve got a guy who put tampons in the boys bathrooms.
Get a grip.
