Canadian psychologist Jordan Peterson has agreed to attend social-media training as mandated by the College of Psychologists of Ontario, the governing body for the profession in that province. In 2022, the college determined that Peterson, who has gained international fame for his refusal to bow down to transgender ideology and other left-wing causes of the moment, must attend such training or lose his license.
The college determined that Peterson’s posts on social media, particularly those concerning transgenderism, could be viewed as “degrading.” They noted a post directed against a former city councilor in which Peterson declared that person’s use of they/them pronouns as an “appalling, self-righteous, moralizing thing.” The person was not a patient of Peterson’s, and Peterson claims that no patient of his has complained.
Peterson has been fighting the allegations since they became public. His attorney in the matter, Howard Levitt, referred to the Canadian Supreme Court’s decision not to hear the matter as “a tragic day for Canada.” Levitt said in an email to the Canadian Broadcasting Company:
It seems ironic, even tragic, that he, one of the most adept persons in social media in this country and beyond, is going to attend “re-education” from people inherently less skilled and knowledgeable than he is himself. The decision is a tragedy for freedom of speech in this country.
Egale Canada, an LGBT activist group, celebrated the decision. Bennett Jensen, the group’s legal director, said in a statement:

This is why a clinical psychologist making transphobic, discriminatory, and false claims is particularly harmful and directly interferes with trans people’s safety and autonomy. Psychologists belong to the group of professions that act as gatekeepers...

It’s not you the training is designed to protect. It’s always the legal standing and liability exposure of the company.
I didn’t see that, but that would be great! He is fearless (from what I have seen) so I look forward to him having this battle of wits with people who will be unarmed!

Years ago, I read “Zen and The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance”, and the protagonist in the book had radical ideas that the college didn’t like, so they asked him to submit to an interview to explain himself, and him not being the wiser, agreed. When the day came and he showed up in the room, he was startled to see the “Big Gun” in there, someone he knew was hostile to him and his ideas, and was up to the task of putting some torpedoes in him to sink him. (If my memory serves me correctly...it was a long time ago)
I’ll bet they try that with Jordan Peterson...which I would pay money to see. I have never seen him outmatched.

I had to. But I walked out of the room because I’m a hospital ER porter and I knew things were getting busy in the ER so I excused myself, fully expecting to either be written up or fired.
Nothing happened.
From what I understand my hospital has quietly done away with it’s DEI bs.

Any license, certification, accreditation, etc that you have will be used to harass you into compliance....at least externally.
I would not be surprised if they go after your driver’s license if you post something “offensive”
This is why professional organizations are odious — particularly those that have been captured lock-stock-and-barrel by the political left. They can take away your livelihood at any time if they don’t like what you’re saying.
I got my first Warning on Youtube..........hate speech but I wasn’t hating on anyone. ..though I did write some cultures/races are more emotional than others.
I could shame that easily in the right setting....I’d never sit thru any class with someone looking like that...never.

If the training was boilerplate to protect the company, it would be online through a third party company instead of in-person. If it's in person, they're looking for good sheep who'll toe the korporate line.
His license? The govt giveth and the govt can taketh away. Don’t give them your integrity.
Apparently there is no “freedom of speech” in Canada. Going to indoctrination camp is not yet compulsory, however.
