Canadian psychologist Jordan Peterson has agreed to attend social-media training as mandated by the College of Psychologists of Ontario, the governing body for the profession in that province. In 2022, the college determined that Peterson, who has gained international fame for his refusal to bow down to transgender ideology and other left-wing causes of the moment, must attend such training or lose his license.
The college determined that Peterson’s posts on social media, particularly those concerning transgenderism, could be viewed as “degrading.” They noted a post directed against a former city councilor in which Peterson declared that person’s use of they/them pronouns as an “appalling, self-righteous, moralizing thing.” The person was not a patient of Peterson’s, and Peterson claims that no patient of his has complained.
Peterson has been fighting the allegations since they became public. His attorney in the matter, Howard Levitt, referred to the Canadian Supreme Court’s decision not to hear the matter as “a tragic day for Canada.” Levitt said in an email to the Canadian Broadcasting Company:
It seems ironic, even tragic, that he, one of the most adept persons in social media in this country and beyond, is going to attend “re-education” from people inherently less skilled and knowledgeable than he is himself. The decision is a tragedy for freedom of speech in this country.
Egale Canada, an LGBT activist group, celebrated the decision. Bennett Jensen, the group’s legal director, said in a statement:

This is why a clinical psychologist making transphobic, discriminatory, and false claims is particularly harmful and directly interferes with trans people’s safety and autonomy. Is there a passing grade? Go and just engage enough to sound you are submitting, but play the same game they do. Leave class and be who you are screw them.
I have attended many government type classes through the years and they do nothing but waste time and money. I count is a day of doing nothing.

I am a big fan of Jordan Peterson, even though I don’t agree with him on everything.
But there must be some twist to this, because I recall hearing him say he wasn’t going to do this.
I’ll bet they combed through his voluminous posting and interviews and found something they could nail him on, and hit him with it.
I count is a day of doing nothing.
Same in corporate America. Once a year we have to suffer through sexual harassments and inclusion training.
No one asks or answers questions. No one pays attention. It’s just a waste of time we all accept.
I hope he insists on filming it.
I used to get completely worked up and angry doing my “corporate training” which is fully woke.
But I figured out all I had to do was answer the questions the way I thought THEY would want me to answer, and...that did it.
Now, I just put the videos on and let them run minimized with the sound off. Then, when it is done, it enables me to take the test, and I ace it now. I used to spend so much time fuming about it, when there was this simple solution...:)
Peterson has one of the biggest soap boxes in the world.
Even if he can’t film it, he can do a show everyday giving a detailed description of what went on that day.
Its a bad idea for him to keep his license while being a political commentator. Things like this are going to keep happening and he will be compromised if he keeps trying to do both. He should give up his license and then say whatever he wants without the threat of sanction.
I recall him saying on several occasions essentially that he would record it and have a lot of fun with it.
So are the Canadians doing the soviet mental asylum thing? Or is their model Mao’s re-education camps.
Now I view it as a game, to see how well I have scoped them out!

Two dozen bored stiff people in a small stuffy conference room and this black chick,(they're always black) is going on about how ‘’We're all equal and diversity is our strength’’. After a while I interrupted this nonsense and said "Madame you have been going on now for two hours to the point of tedium telling us we're all equal and diversity is our strength''. So I asked her point blank, "If we're all equal then how is diversity our strength?'' The woman looked at me for several seconds, didn't say anything and then just continued yapping away.
