The shear audacity.
The Secret Service apologized to a salon owner in Massachusetts who alleged that individuals broke into her business to use the bathroom during the agency’s security work for a nearby Veep Kamala Harris fundraiser.
Berkshires businesswoman Alicia Powers says someone picked the lock and broke into her store for the bathroom — after a Secret Service officer covered a camera outside her salon with tape.
The people who proceeded to use the bathroom included a pair in emergency medical uniforms, a person in camouflage law-enforcement gear and someone in a dark suit and white shirt similar to a Secret Service officer who guarded the door, Powers said, citing footage.
A Secret Service rep was adamant that agents would not break into buildings like that — but did not deny that an officer covered her camera with tape, an act that was captured by surveillance footage, and appeared to cop some sort of mea culpa in a statement.
“The Secret Service has since communicated with the affected business owner. We hold these relationships in the highest regard and our personnel would not enter, or instruct our partners to enter, a business without the owner’s permission,” Secret Service spokesperson Melissa McKenzie said.
Powers said the head of the Secret Service’s Boston-based field office called her to apologize, according to Business Insider.
“He said to me everything that was done was done very wrong,” Powers told the outlet. “They were not supposed to tape my camera without permission. They were not supposed to enter the building without permission.”
The shop owner, who owns Four One Three Salon in Pittsfield, said the incident took place July 27, before Harris’ first major in-person fundraiser since President Biden dropped out of...

This behavior sounds criminal and they should be charged, convicted, fired, and jailed. The business owner needs big check for damages, the nation needs an apology for this above-the-law behavior.
Forget the check, fire the employee and their supervisor. That will leave a much more lasting mark.
It’s breaking and entering.
This is a crime.
There is no federal preemption.
The officer should be charged and arrested.
Honestly. Capital letters notwithstanding, you know “press charges” is a figure of speech, don’t you? One can make a complaint, but whatever the equivalent of the District Attorney is 100% controls whether charges are filed. Somehow I don’t see the DA prosecuting under these facts
Otherwise, known as B&E.
How do you schedule a political fundraiser and not provide a venue that is equipped with enough toilet facilities for the number of people attending? That's in violation of fire, and safety standards. The SS willingly and illegally violated a business owner's privacy and property rights because of poor campaign planning. That goes to show you just how political the SS really is, that they will break the law to accommodate the needs of the RAT party when the need arises. I guess since they decided to assist in an assassination to help the RATS, that it isn't hard to see that they'd ignore property rights to satisfy their RAT masters too.
I hate the newly popular phrase, “the audacity.” Used by woke scolds, usually black women, to shut people up and put them in their place.
I still don’t like it applied more broadly as here, but maybe the scolds will have to become more explicit. “The caucasity.”
Agreed.
Press for charges to be filed.
Breaking and entering at least.
The store owner is no better for not demanding that criminal charges be filed against those involved. Therefore there will be more victims in the future.
Bet’cha the salon owner gets a nice IRS SWAT raid in the middle of the night for not keeping their mouth shut.
The alphabet agencies do as the damn well please.
Don’t you like it, peasant?
If one has to go that bad, why take time to turn camera off?
They act like they are Praetorian guards, and they seem to view us as the little people. Plebs, if you will.
4th Amendment violation.
Hey when you gotta go, you gotta go. The call of Nature.
That’s the Democrats for ya.
